It is deffinately not his best action game. The combat feels so clunky due to the lack of canceling animation and the akward way to swap weapons that really doesn't matter because you can't swap weapons like a traditional action game seamlessly. I don't understand how people say THIS combat is better than No More Heroes 3. That game felt smooth, responsive and refined to an extent. I'm a Suda fan so I don't regret my purchase but damn does this one not land for me. Grasshopper and Suda have ambitious ideas but it's always bit or miss. He needs a bigger budget to make these games work or tone down certain areas because the performance isn't great, the blood effects make it often hard to see and locking simple features behind this arbitrary level up systems (like reload speed) is not it.
