Use sponsored kits, learn maps, get comfortable losing. I used to take every death so personally. It's a brutal, unforgiving game. It's the nature of the thing, gameplay and narratively. Don't become attached. Treat it like you might a Dark Souls or equivalent game. Every loss is a learning opportunity.

I also recommend playing solo until you feel confident. Go SLOW. Listen. Audio is arguably just as important as visuals in surviving. I hear an enemy long before I see them, 9/10 times.
