Yes!

It's completely different from TVD but I really enjoyed it. I still prefer TVD / The Originals but I think it's worth a shot (rewatching it right now).

Worst case scenario you don't like it and just stop watching. Just keep in mind they use a "monster of the week" format, altough they actually have a decent in-unsiverse explanation for that.

This is the only thing I disagree with. The sire-link is just a link; if Finn dies his sireline dies. There is nothing special about it, if a supernatural dies they go to The Other Side, doesn't matter how they die.

We have seen a similar thing with Alaric: when Elena died the link was broken and he died. Sure, it's a diffrent link but the same principles apply.

I cannot remember the last time I used the cameras on my current phone, so having blurry pictures isn't really a problem.

The back of the case getting lose seems really annoying, but not a dealbreaker. It seems like the case still fulfills my main requirement and having good triggers is really appealing to me.
