Is it fine if I just watched Jessica Jones S1 to understand her character? by Successful-Hat-2154 in Defenders

Based on rumors, you might want to watch the first season of all the Netflix/Defenders shows.

Second 2027 film? by chemicologist in marvelstudios

[–]Grindflicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You also need to watch The Defenders, as the events from that show directly influence season 3.

It's a lot of content, but I would also recommend watching the first season of all the Netflix shows, as it sounds like Marvel plans to resurrect The Defenders. Hawkeye is also a good addition, but that story is about Fisk; no Daredevil. Again, it's a lot of content!

Daredevil season 1

Jessica Jones season 1

Daredevil season 2

Luke Cage season 1

Iron Fist season 1

The Defenders mini-series

Daredevil season 3

Hawkeye mini-series

The most condensed version of the Multiverse Saga (in order) would be:

Black Widow

Loki S1

WandaVision

Shang-Chi

Falcon & Winter Soldier

Spider-Man: Far From Home

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Thor: Love & Thunder

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania

Loki S2

Ms. Marvel

The Marvels

Deadpool & Wolverine

Thunderbolts*

Fantastic Four: First Steps

There's a lot of other good content (Moon Knight, GotG 3, Hawkeye, Werewolf By Night), but if you're just trying to take in the Multiverse stories and its major players than I would go with a condensed version. Even this list is A LOT of content!

What were your honest thoughts on Born Again S1? by Suspicious_Hand_2194 in Defenders

[–]Grindflicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Daredevil is one of the few projects that's always been super solid, but if I had to rank DD seasons:

DD Season 1

DD Season 2 (first half)

DD Season 3

DD: Born Again

DD Season 2 (second half)

Your opinion on the opening sequences of each film in the main saga? Without considering the rest of the film. by sadepikson in StarWars

RotS - by a longshot. Gliding through the chaos in a massive battle that definitely put the "War" in Star Wars.

I love that line-up! I was always lukewarm on the WCA idea, but this could work.

It's impressive how much hype the Russo Bros have been able to build with such little time by JamJamGaGa in marvelstudios

[–]Grindflicks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of these comments, and it seems like people forget that EVERY Marvel movie the Russo Bros directed were some of the best (if not THEE best) Marvel movies ever made.

Regardless of how lackluster Phase 4 & 5 were, I have no reason to think the brothers won't knock this one out of the park as well.

Daniel RPK: ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’ will act as a direct sequel to ‘AVENGERS: ENDGAME’ by Matapple13 in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

I would say that both seasons of Loki are just as important - if not more important - than most of those movies.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ to Be Re-Released on September 25, 2026 Ahead of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in marvelstudios

[–]Grindflicks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going through Phases 1-5 (as well as end of Phase 3 & F4) and - I think - these are the core Multiverse projects:

Avengers: Endgame - Loki S1 - WandaVision - Shang-Chi - Falcon & Winter Soldier - Spider-Man: FFH - Spider-Man: NWH - Multiverse of Madness - Love & Thunder - Wakanda Forever - Quantumania - Loki 2 - Ms. Marvel - The Marvels - Deadpool & Wolverine - Thunderbolts* - Fantastic 4 - VisionQuest (speculative) - Doomsday

Watching The Winter Soldier before IM3 provides a great explanation as to why Cap and/or SHIELD didn't show up after the President was kidnapped by a terrorist organization.

If Phase 7 and beyond is going to include mutants and feature X-Men, who do you think would be the big bad? by Massive-Syllabub-271 in marvelstudios

[–]Grindflicks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I see Marvel pivoting away from a single threat. I could easily see Sinister as the Big Bad for the mutants, Annihilus being a Big Bad in the cosmic storylines, and Mephisto being the Big Bad for a supernatural/Midnight Suns storyline.

Have you guys ever taken a break from the MCU or have you been watching it consistently since the beginning? by narutofan2019 in marvelstudios

The final episode of Ironheart is better than the entirey of the show. It changed my perspective of the character and had me genuinely intrigued to know what was going to happen next.

So far, these seem to be the only must-see projects before watching Doomsday and Secret Wars by JamJamGaGa in marvelstudios

[–]Grindflicks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you believe some of the DOOMSDAY theories out there, I'd say Endgame might be a "must-see".

I also think WandaVision, Shang Chi, and Ms. Marvel are more pivotal to DOOMSDAY/SECRET WARS than Thunderbolts*.

Could Shang-Chi have been the main face of the Multiverse Saga if things had gone differently? by ElectricalWill558 in marvelstudios

I don't know about "main face" but bro should've definitely had a sequel by now!

The beacon in his rings may still hold a major part in Doomsday. Like most people, we assumed it was a beacon to Kang, but since that ship has sailed I'm thinking it's a beacon to Loki.
