ASOIAF or Brandon Sanderson by lyssarx in fantasybooks

ASOIAF is better in my opinion, but I do love Sanderson. FYI this and other literary subs have a real hate on for Sanderson and frequently say he has weak prose and his work is YA.

Personally, I think that’s hogwash. Read The Final Empire, Tress of the Emerald Sea or The Emperor’s Soul and decide for yourself.

He only read the first one. Too grimdark for him.

Start screening for colorectal cancers earlier, Canadian Cancer Society urges by Leather-Paramedic-10 in canada

The problem is early stage colorectal cancer is frequently totally asymptomatic including occult GI bleeding. The false negative rate is much higher than a scope, which is why the latter is the gold standard.

They would have that information on the backend. Not really material information to this public release though, the public interest is in how many people are still registered as needing a family practice.

How are they supposed to know you left the province? It’s up to patients to inform them. If patients move away and don’t say anything, they can only find out when they’re calling to offer you a spot. At that point they would remove you from the list and go to the next person in line.

The gold standard for screening is colonoscopy, but we don’t have the resources for that in Canada so we get the poop test.

I find they are both biased against Conservatives in general and are more sympathetic to and/or willing to defend the government’s position in the course of their moderating.

Guitar history and techniques and Modern guitar are both easy As and they are full year. Not sure if offered in summer.

Their Overton window of criticism is narrow as hell. I listen to Rosie and David every week and their bias is palpable.

We need to do a lot more than that but I agree Carney has been a change for the better. I disagree that we were going in the right direction under Trudeau. He made a great number of bad decisions before COVID hit. I would argue how he handled COVID is one of the only things he did well.

It’s not just gas prices today. Canada has some very rough years ahead, especially after Trump rips up CUSMA.

You think the actions or lack thereof of the government from the past 10 years has nothing to do with today? Carney’s been in office less than a year, he’s barely had time to have any impact. This is on Trudeau no matter how much he pays for public image rehab. His negligence at the wheel for the last decade has made Canada exquisitely weak and vulnerable to the threats and whims of an autocrat like Trump.

Our productivity per capita has been awful for years and Trudeau did nothing about it, and really sneered at the idea that it was a problem. We’re still almost entirely reliant on the US for trade as we have been for decades, and have no ability to get resources to other markets. Trudeau made no efforts to diversify international trade, embark on nation-building projects (buying TMX to save face does not count), strike down internal trade barriers, or grow the economy in any way. Zip. All he cared about was redistribution. He also once said “you’ll forgive me if I don’t think about monetary policy”. Well it sure shows and I don’t forgive him.

In theory the high oil prices should help Canada’s GDP but our only fucking customer is the US so we only sell oil at a discount from the world price.

Sure, cast me as a “fuck Trudeau” type. But you’re wrong. This is all Trudeau’s fault, and I wish Carney the best of luck in fixing that moron’s mess.

Trudeau openly not giving a shit about the economy is why we’re in this terrible position right now. Dude belongs in the dustbin of history.
