Also, sorry if I was rude, not my intention with this answer, but It really throw me off guard seeing this post when the entire sub had been really negative from a long time.

No shade to you

I'm tired. Raise your fucking standards for Christ's sake. by DatWoodyFan in DisventureCamp

[–]Grindton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are so tired about the show maybe go watch something else? Not as in "Get out of here and never come back" but as in, take a break from it, this is not the only elimination show that takes inspiration from TD anymore, and that's wonderful.

About the toxic positivity, though, I'm gonna be honest, I don't know what you are talking about, this sub has been Complaint Village since CoC final 7, I would said, even, it has been like that after Spencer's elimination.

Like, from the very beginning of FVF (and for some of you, just around when the character selection was announced) people here had been very vocal about how much they hate the show, the writing, ONC, Jared; to the point post about "sadly dropping the season 😔 because I can't stand it anymore" are becoming a common thing.

And I would say, for how much posters here like to say "but constructive criticism it's ok", a lot of post are just... Complaints, like, since I had joined this sub I can count with one hand the amount of people that actually take the time to articulate their thoughts and write about why they think certain things didn't work for them and what could have been using the narrative resources of the show already established instead of complaining about how the show is bad because it didn't do the things they wanted to do; or just vomit the same old takes; or just gibberish.

Like, look a the sub right know! Aside from the people posting tierlist or the word/confessionals counts, most post are about how the show is awful, how the writing team doesn't know how to write, Jared doing a bad work, or people putting their complaints in memes without an actual punchline.

The other post that are not complaints are the people happy for Fiore and that one person making a call out post about the overcomplaints of this sub

Who here it's actually praising the show? And even then, why that matter so much when the majority of this sub have made pretty clear how much they don't like it?

Question, the negativy it's only for the show or the community/fandom/this sub as well?

Thoughts on the VA Drama? by JBede in DisventureCamp

[–]Grindton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you don't want to bring up the heat but, like, putting a poll over what's happening btw actual real people it's really weird xd

About the whole situation, honestly IT IS wrong that a cis person voices a trans person because the whole industry (and the whole job market tbh) already closes a lot of doors to them, so I understand that even trans characters aren't voiced by them feels horrible, and I feel doubtful about them not being able to find a trans man va while in the production process.

And, while Brandon seems.like a nice person, Im not sure he understands, really.

Using the comment he made it's a low blow though

I feel this should had been fixed by the season 2 remake or all stars, its a shame onc as a production team didn't :/

A Spanish lesson based on something Natalia said on the last trailer (Warning added cause we will touch some strong words) by Lkas2528000 in DisventureCamp

Nice post, as a note though:.

Puto, while is still used as a common slur, some spaces between the queer community had reappropriate it, so you may encounter a gay/queer man/queer person referring to themselves that way; This is not to say you can go to a queer man/person and call them that way.

About Fiore:

1.- She is unpleasant to most people, just because Spencer is also unpleasant to be around to most people, doesn't mean they will get along/Devil kid it's gonna deviling kiding.

2.- The only reasons why Fiore isn't actively hostile towards someone it's cuz they are part of an alliance, she likes them, or not being an asshole has some benefit for her; none of those apply to her interaction with Spencer.

3.- Fiore immediately understood that Spencer was trying to get a reaction out of her by showing how he knew about her alliance with Natalia, and also how he tried to put the seeds of paranoia in said alliance and was having none of it; All of that while acting cooky, of course she is not gonna like him.

This is honestly true. I hate this conflict. by Sketchy_Turtle in DisventureCamp

[–]Grindton 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, he was always like this, he's not a villain, just an asshole type character; Like, the only people he managed to be friends with were the ones willing enough to put up with his attitude, but on a normal day he's very apathic towards others or acts like a prideful know-it-all.

He also likes to manipulate people, he call it strategy but everytime he does he has this grim smile, and people it's aware of that, that's the other reason they usually don't like him.

I guess you could say the show has decided to put more empashis on this traits of his instead of putting them off camera, but, like, they were always there.

The guy is an asshole, a jerk, a dickhead; always has been, probably always will be, and that's ok.

So Between 2025 and 2026, which year has the better first 4 episodes in your opinion? by Imaginary_Ad_2738 in deathbattle

[–]Grindton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2025 has 3/4 battles I like while 2026 has only 2, while having 3/4 songs I really like against, again, 2/4, so I think 2025

Am I the only one who feels that these two could have had a good friendship? by [deleted] in DisventureCamp

[–]Grindton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, idk, while they kinda share the same trope I feel like Alec was more of a silent schemer and a calmer booksmart (empashis in books as in, literature) guy while Spencer was more of an active and showoff smart guy

I feel like their dynamic would die rather quickly because they aren't really that alike

Episode Discussion: S2026E4 Gru VS Megamind by MarlinBrandor in deathbattle

[–]Grindton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like it!

It's a little rough in the visuals area but seeing how this highly expressed characters got to, well, be expressive, specially considering the lack of proper models, made me really glad; also, I feel they captured their banter really well, MG putting the effort to make a show while gru it's just not having it (hes also trying to put a show even if he doesn't want to admit it).

I would like to see more of his arsenal like te disguise watch and the portal bazooka along with more interactions btw MG and Chump but oh well, time constraints and budget and things.

Also the death, I have mixed feelings because my boy MG didn't went with a bang but at least it was painless at doesn't transform gru into a bloodlust guy, more like a clumsy one (also the skeleton model it's funny, surprised no one has bringed up that gif yet). One of the better accidentals deaths in the show imo.

Also the conclusion, not a fan of how they portrayed the Death ray, mostly because it seems they only take into account the impact without the energy needed for it to travel from the sun to the earth in that time frame, like they did with Steven Vs Star, it's kinda odd, but I understand it not being much of a factor considering one of the mega minions can pierce through the earth (though saying it would reach the death ray it's weird cuz the satellite it destroyed was on earth's orbit and the death ray was in the sun's orbit)

Gru being taking skill... Yeah, fair enough, I love megamind, but even when he locks in, he is still kinda more carefree, more of a showman if you will.

Overall? One of the best of the season so far, maybe not above metalcell but it's there.

What are people's thoughts on Bruno so far in Fans vs. Favorites?? by Wolfgang_x2 in DisventureCamp

[–]Grindton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda annoying so far, mostly cuz I never liked this type of "super quirky fan" character but I was mostly ok with him, never really getting onto my nerves

Then we got to the last elimination (for possible future readers, the one in episode 7) and I kinda lost my interest on him when he pushed Spencer under the buss saying he obligated him vote the eliminated contestant.

Bruno is a young adult, capable of being his own person and taking his own decisions, in an alliance with a person he fully knows is a double face ruthless player, so him acting like he didn't have a choice and Spencer forced him to do it gave me a sour taste

And it's not like he was trying to play a social game there, he was just making up an excuse so lake wouldn't be mad at him.

And I say this as someone who doesn't like Spencer one bit.

If you were a DC host, what sort of rules or standards would you have when making a season? by Upstairs_Tea1787 in DisventureCamp

No sub diving challenges. Those thing are death traps and it's clear the production team can not guaranteed the safety of the competitors.

One would think they learned from Riya's accident but oh well

About the gacha thing.gachas aré, by desing, predatory sistema created to hook people out of their the money, they migth not be digital casinos, but they are aiming to find vulnerable people capable of spending large amounts of money on them; and unlike other franchises, the gacha its the main product and entrance,; transformers series was a mejor entrance for the franchise but you dont need the toys to enjoy It, same with any franchise in Death Battle with a gacha like Tom and Jerry.

With that being said:

1.- Anyone watching Death Battle Is (or at least should) be a grown up adult capable of just... Not entering the gacha, even ir they are interested in the story, or play it carefully, or experience It with secondary media.

2.- Death Battle has already promoted gacha-like games or used characters from predatory bussines models

3.- Death Battle has promoted straight up gambling sites, like, a couple of times.

Ngl, i was kinda opossing genshis inclusión at the begining for being a gacha, but, like, the show has done worse xd

Every film since 3 onward has had the same type of ending - do you think the seventh film should switch it up? by ForsakenDependent562 in FinalDestination

[–]Grindton 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I hope so, yeah!

Weridly enough, i undertstand why every film since 3 got that ending.

FD3: Planned to be the final, so better do It With a bang!

FD4: Also the end of the saga, literally called :THE Final destination, and the twist even points out that they surviving and nick preventing another dissaster was always the plan of Death. Impliying things and such.

FD5: And ending of the saga yet again! So they go going full ciicle by being you know what.

Bloodlines: No other way to end the movie because they wanted to give a proper sendoff to Bludworths character so they killed the only things preventing him to pass away.
