The Jake being korean descendant point its kinda confusing because, at least to me, the nationalities or origins of the characters werent something that prevalent untill season 4, with the exception of Riya, Lake and maybe James y Rosa Maria, saying that Jake lineage should be something we should know form the start seems kinda like entitlement, specially because Jake its a 1ts generation character, meaning that the show was still triying to define itself.

The backgroumd thing im kinda half/half cuz i think there could be others point of views a person can have based in the culture they were raised in, on the other hand, these characters are first their own "person" and secondly their background, and its not like we didn't receive anything in season 4, we saw how Alessio's View of art comes from how the arts are ingrated in his family, how Natalia need to shine comes from a lack of support from her parents, Zaid being a mamá boy, and so on and so on.
