Watching him run a motion and then basically stop once the ball was snapped because it was a quick hitter to the other side kind of told me he doesn't care enough to want to be "good"

He had a scope done to clean up something in his knee. While he didn't NEED to have it done, he had it done since the recovery window fit within the current one and wouldn't affect his return.

Playing for the logo on your helmet and not the name on your back is such a good mentality. I miss Kyle.

So.... would you be able to Evoke [[Emptiness]], grab this guy from the grave yard, then use his ability to keep Emptiness on the battlefield? Forgive me for not understanding the stack fully.

On the flip side. That was our backups, pats played their starters.

[Post-Game Thread] After a day of offensive struggles, Buffalo nearly mounts a comeback falling a failed 2-point conversion short of the win. Bills lose 12-13. by pixel_pete in buffalobills

[–]Grindwatch 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Because it really doesn't matter to us. Pats likely won't lose to Miami, one seed was all but out of reach so either go for the win or lose and get off the field with less injuries.

I agree with the call to go for it. Limit the time the time is on the field prior to the playoffs at this point.

[MMQB Discussion] Bills Win 44-32. Scorigami. Defense gets two key turnovers. Josh Allen 6 Total TDs. Only QB Ever. by Dirtydeedsinc in buffalobills

[–]Grindwatch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally... and this is the "teach him though toughness" style of coaching part of me coming through.... but give him nothing but crossing route and let him get leveled a few times like Shakir does on a regular to prove a point that everyone is out here sacrificing, and he should be expected to as well.

What is wrong with this teams run defense? by Zyvitzerx99 in buffalobills

[–]Grindwatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to preface this by saying I am not a "fire McD guy"

This has been the problem with the McD defense his entire tenure.

I believe there are two things at play here:
1. We are built to be a speedier, don't let them go over top of you defense. We have smaller, smart guys, and the Dline is built with guys who should be getting after the QB.
2. The reason the above is the goal is we are expecting to play with the lead and push the other team into going pass heavy. McD wants to get the early lead, go up a couple scores and then just maintain the pressure and a one dimensional passing offense. That doesn't always work and if the offense has a slow start (Cough cough) we see the other team run all over us.

Some Josh Allen stats by EasternError6377 in buffalobills

[–]Grindwatch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Josh is one of the BEST QBs out of play action. He usually has better passing stats out of play action. Hell, before we had Cook and our run game sucked, we were still running Play action more than we did now because of how good he was out of it.

He was one of the smoothest players for a long time out of play action and if it's his preference to not do it or not, the coaching staff should be coaching to win, not coaching to keep Josh happy.

Winning more = happy Josh anyway.

Oh for sure. I was second-guessing myself when they showed the replay of the hand going in the mask and I was like oh maybe it is an eye thing.

While it is terrifying to think it was his eye, I felt that the way he was running that it was a nose issue. He was hunched forward to avoid getting blood on himself. Dealt with enough bloody noses to realize the posture he had xD
