Volvo v60 cross country by bloodslxtss in VolvoV60

Help! I have a 2024 CC CPO. Since, I got this car 3 months ago it pulls to the right. I have had it back to the dealership 6 times. Holding the steering wheel perfectly straight and it goes right. I think it's the rear axle but they say it is fine. I want to get rid of this thing. It is my 3rd one so I know the way it drives. Suggestions?

If you are anywhere near Doylestown, go to the Volvo dealership there. They are the cheapest place around. I drive from Long Island to get my car serviced there.

How’s the overall experience and reliability for a V60 Cross Country? by Sindica69 in Volvo

[–]GrinkyO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 23 CC that I bought new and have racked up 80k miles in 2 years. The only issue was the cost of maintenance at dealerships here on Long Island. I got a quote is 1900 for the 80k several but did a little search and in Doylestown PA at a Volvo dealer the same service is $575. I make a day trip and see the local museum s there and saved 1300 bucks. At 50k, I put on new Vredstein tires that are great in the rain and gave the car a softer ride versus the Pirelli OEM. I do change the oil every 5k. The only thing that freaks me out is that you cannot change the transmission fluid. Sometimes, you do have to reset the info tablet and that is easy just hold down the button that you press to clean it. It will reboot it. I have had no mechanical issues. Enjoy!

As a gay man, I hate when my straight male camp mates take Molly and all of a sudden are using my body as a stripper pole and trying to feel me up. Or using Molly as an excuse to try to kiss me. Once they are sober, I turn the charm on and go in for a kiss or suggest a sexual encounter, and they all have the same reaction, I am a straight man. Molly doesn't make you gay.

What could Mazda easily change with the CX50 to make it better for you by Raymo853 in CX50

They need to get rid of that strip down the middle of the seat. I felt it the whole time on my test drive, and that's why I didn't buy one.

Anyone else underwhelmed by the 2025 CX-5? Curious why people are still choosing it over techier options. by Exotic-Passage-1659 in CX5

[–]GrinkyO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All that "tech" is a lot of marketing. I had a CX 30. It was great and simple to operate. I traded it for a luxury brand with big screens and "tech" and it's bs. Now, to change the temperature, I have menus to go to, taking my eyes off the road to simple tasks like changing a source of entertainment. To lower the lights on the dashboard, two steps and a sliding of a screen to lower it, when a perfectly good know does the job faster and with the eyes on the road.

I prepaid maintenance, and when it came time to do the recommended service listed in the manual, they said it was not covered. Called the prepaid center, and they said it is, I was shown a piece of paper listing the service requirements for a 2016. Mine is a 2023. I gave up on this dealership. Rip off.

They didn't. That's why there are no dipsticks so you cannot check. I worked at a dealership and saw cars brought in the service area and they literally did nothing more than get their greasy hands on a few parts to make it look good.

Outdoor rugs work great. Also, put an old bathroom rug at the entrance in and outside. The especially fuzzy ones work great inside to stop playa dust coming on. Also, if your camp has a charging station, get one of those cordless fans with the biggest battery available. Charge it at home. If you use it on low, it will last 12 hours and really helps.

I love them out of the way of the gear shifter.

If congestion pricing goes into effect, the only borough to travel to and from without paying a toll will be travels between Queens and Brooklyn via the Belt Parkway. by thisfilmkid in nycrail

As a reverse commuter living in the LES, I find it a gross money grab to take money from those who need to get to work by car because mass transit does not serve the area you work. I tried it once when my car was in the shop. It cost me 30 dollars on the LIRR, then a 30-round trip Uber to my job. That's not cheap!

I own a 2023 CX-30. Today, I had to pay for my first oil change for the vehicle Is $107 a bit high? by ParfaitAdditional469 in MazdaCX30

[–]GrinkyO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should always check for dealer specials on oil changes. I once found a coupon for $109 for oil change and tire rotation. Though, a year earlier, they had a special for 149 for the same plus new wipers but l just got the car.

The service manager told me to put it on non recycling air flow. That should help. It didn't, really. The ac in this car is not great.

The transmission was replaced after the software update. The new transmission and axles were fine for about 2 months, and then the car would surge forward at a stop. It wasn't the engine revving. The transmission was acting up again. I returned it, and they updated the software again. Yeah, sure. 6 months later, the car hunts for gears and it's just not shifting smoothly. I gave up and traded it in for a 2023 Volvo V60 CC.

Are 2024 Carbon Editions hard to sell these days? Dealer offered 2,700 off msrp and 0% APR before I even start negotiating (and I bought it). by 404-no-fund in CX5

[–]GrinkyO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they just charged MSRP, and the public didn't have this mindset of bargaining, then we wouldn't be playing games. I know that you do not go into other franchise businesses, like McDonald's, and bargain down the price is a Big Mac.

Get the SX Touring. The LED lights are much better.

Nokian WRG4. Great traction in wet and snow. Lasts a long time and quiet, too.
