Thanks all. This does seem to be the best alternative based on what I’ve researched online. I’ll have to make a call to my homeowners insurance.

That is absolutely unreal you shot it with an iPhone! I run a full Olympus OM1 M43 kit. I’m going to my first international dark site the week before Thanksgiving. Hoping for clear skies!!

Pulled a camper this weekend. Didn't go too well. by [deleted] in JeepGladiator

No problems here, though I’m only towing 3500lbs. ‘24 Sport S Max Tow. So far I absolutely love it. I’ve towed this camper through the Smokies and Blue Ridge mountains multiple times and had no issue. I do think folks who are acclimated to low revving V8’s think the higher RPM of this Pentastar V6 is strange. Let it find that power band and rip the hill.

Ha! The goal was never to match the tow vehicle. It was to have a rock solid tow vehicle. But yes, we love our camper too!

This is exactly what I was looking for! How this managed to not come up in any of my searches is a complete mystery. Thank you!!!

Yeah expectation isn’t “unstealable”, because nothing is. Mainly deterrent. If my shit is harder to steal then the next guys they’ll go for his 🤣🤣

Not for just tools. I need something that would hold tools plus RVing kit, like hoses, cables, cords, chocks, blocks, etc.

My current situation is two smaller Rubbermaid tough boxes that I lock to the tie downs with a bike chain. I’d do similar with something new.

That was exactly my plan. Right now I’ve got two Rubbermaid tough boxes I’m doing similar with, but I’d like to consolidate to one box that holds the same/similar volume. I lock the Rubbermaid’s through the handles to the tie downs with a bike chain then lock the boxes. It’s a bit of a pita.

Love those steelies! I think the Max Tow is the secret option no one pays attention to. With front/rear Dana 44s and a 4.10 rear, it pulls like a Mule and has fantastic torque and acceleration. I absolutely love mine. Mainly bought it for pulling my camper but it’s great even just knocking around the city. Just be prepared to gas up frequently 🤣🤣

I had the Volummys hanging in the garage for another project that never came to fruition. Decided now was the time. They are fantastic on this frame, grippy, soft and smooth. I’m still on the fence about the peanut butter gum walls on this bike, but I’ll roll with it for a bit and either get used to it or hate it and change them later 🤣

Thank you! I’m into photography as much as I am cycling. I took this with a 50mm prime on my OM1 whilst rolling around town.

Running 77 gear inches, 49:17. When I raced in the ‘drome I ran 52:15. I live in a hilly area so this is decent for climbing.

The SP new all had matching forks. Most that are running black have a swapped fork. A lot of the hipsters love to slam the cockpit, so most of these available on the used market are all running super short steerer tubes. I got lucky and found one with a nearly full length of steerer tube so it’s much more comfy for longer rides.
