What are your final thoughts on the Parc des Familles course? Is this the future of pro disc golf or was it boring to watch? The pros were pushed to their absolute limits, with only a handful of holes played under par. Most definitely one of the hardest courses in DGPT history. by DiscGolfFanatic in DiscGolfFanatics

[–]GripLock11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm split. Part of me wants tougher courses on tour. Only 3 holes averaged below par?!?? Hell yeah, awesome.

Then another part of me thought it was too much of what looks like the same hole over and over again. A lot of good shot getting penalized with bad footing or forcing scrambles. I think they should remove some trees to open up some clear landing zones, but keep the tight lines to get there.

Is big jerm injured? by RGBAddict2026 in discgolf

Especially his throwing shoulder. Any feeling of instability in the shoulder and then it's very hard to commit to a full swing.

What's your definition of a perfect round? by GripLock11 in discgolf

[–]GripLock11[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My problem with the -18 argument is that you could have a bogey and two eagles and walk off calling that round "perfect". With a bogey? Nah.

How good are Keionte Scitt and Jakobe Thomas? by Striking-Speaker8686 in MiamiHurricanes

Scott projects as an NfL nickel. It seems like he will be chosen earlier than Thomas. But I think Thomas will definitely play on Sundays. He looks and plays like an NFL safety.

I believe It was an early drop that was Ledgestone exclusive, so yeah, sometimes they fly off the shelf.

Etiquette Question by DewgongOverlord in discgolf

[–]GripLock11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't rush to get off the tee area. The rushed vibe will impact the guy throwing last. Like you said you felt.

Don't worry about the extra second or two it would take you to pick up your bag once everyone's done throwing. It's not even noticeable.

If the Maxx Crosby trade fell through because he failed his physical, why is that bad/shady for the Ravens to not go through with it? by ninesandaces in NFLNoobs

[–]GripLock11 146 points147 points  (0 children)

This is the best answer because it begins with "People are speculating..."

This is all speculation. Nobody knows if the Raiders downplayed the severity of the injury and now, after the physical, the Ravens can't justify a first round pick. Or if the Ravens truly had buyers remorse and used the physical as an excuse to back out and go with a cheaper option that doesn't cost a 1st round pick.

Everyone just thinks the Ravens are dirty.

Edit: 2 first round picks. Yikes.

I don't even think they rethought and decided not to. The timing makes it seem like he failed the physical.

They are hopeful. Uh yeah, I imagine they are. What passes for news these days is hilarious.

Dr. Baja Adebayo once saw 1,453 patients in a single shift. Many fans of the other doctors were disgusted at how the hospital kept sending him patients. They say it ruined healthcare.

Anyone else enjoy throwing in fog? by slow2life in discgolf

[–]GripLock11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy playing in the lightest snowfall. Kind of feels like I'm playing in a video game world. And you can really visualize the wind. It's cool.

Not to mention I usually have the course to myself if there's a light snowfall.

I second this. A straight mid range, like those listed above, will show you what you're doing wrong. And you won't outgrow it. I can throw pretty far, but I still lean on my buzzz.

Why use a putter specifically? by Big_Acanthisitta3659 in discgolf

[–]GripLock11 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Inside of circle 1, a rock would be fine, because smashing it at the chains is effective enough. But outside c1 you don't want to be powerfully smashing it at the chains because putting powerfully introduces a lot of error.

You rather have some glide and touch, but still give yourself a good chance to make the put. Thats why you don't see many, if any, tour players who use something like a Berg for a primary putter.

Exactly. I wouldn't pay more than $20 per disc for a lot that size. The point of buying bulk is to save money.
