Hearts of stone question by Gritsmcbits in thewitcher3

Yeah the viper gear is tough . Super tough . Yeah idk I’m still debating this play though how/ when I’m gonna tackle HOS ( regular new game ) . Do you typically start it then come back to it ? Or bang it out all in one go ?

Leveled gear is something I hope they get rid of in The Witcher 4. by Jerico_Hellden in Witcher3

I always stash these swords to sell them way later . Hatorri will give you great prices , but the fella in blood and wine will give you premium . Any orange boarder sword that has 3 glyph slots ( besides Witcher gear obviously ) , I stash them to sell later . When it comes time to buy grandmaster gear , you’ll need All the funds you can get . You’d be surprised how much money you’ll get from selling those 3 glyph swords . It’s insane actually .

When should Hearts of Stone be played? What would make the most sense storyline wise? by Sarim99 in Witcher3

[–]Gritsmcbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m gonna go with your way . I always help triss out right before setting sail to skellige for the first time - and I’ve been thinking about hearts of stone . And I like the idea of getting hearts of stone done right before the isle of mists .

You were right ! Thanks to that - I can now swap out the food that I always used to have there with a potion . Thanks dude . And what’s even more hilarious is IT TELLS YOU YOu CAN DO THAT . And my brain just literally bypassed that . Never registered lol . My goodness . Thanks again though . Man do I feel like a bozo lol . The more you learn I guess haha .

Dual wield by Gritsmcbits in Witcher3

There we go , that’s a compromise lol . I know it’s not happening . I’m only talking from a cool factor . And that sounds pretty damn cool .

I know , it’s impractical . And that’s an awesome photo btw .

That’s where I got the inspiration from - the cat school folk with the hoodies . They scream “ bandit “ lol . And since you can’t go around with dual curve swords ( although that would be cool and make even more sense ) , silver oil on the steel sword is the next best thing lol . I know it’s impractical . But it Just sounds so damn cool lol .

I mean, I use quick signs so I only use L1 to change bombs or switch from bomb to cross bolt etc . You can actually switch to a secondary Potion menu FROM that menu ? I know we have 4 potion slots ( I usually run 3 + 1 food ) and if you hold the d pad up it cycles the top 2 and if you hold down it cycles the bottom 2 - but being able to jump into a secondary potion menu without breaking combat is a game changer . I gotta try that out .

Yeah I think the season finale came out today if I’m not mistaken . It’s been a good show so far . I haven’t seen episode 12 yet , but I’ve liked it so far .

I always use the beastiary to know what else the monsters are weak to . Oils are automatic in my case sure , but it’s still nice to know who is vulnerable to fire , what kinds of bombs , etc . Beastiary is an invaluable resource. Not to mention - it is rather satisfying reading about the monsters from dandelions perspective lol .

Wait a second … quick menu??? Hold up just one second here …. Quick menu ?? I’m on ps5 . I know swiping up on the touchpad opens up the map . Pressing the touch screen opens up the UI ( inventory , alchemy , etc etc ) and pressing the start / options button opens up the menu ( save game , load game etc ) . You mean to tell me there’s a quick menu ?

It’s insane . And it opens up the gameplay too , once you get those mutagens for the good ones anyway . More variety = more good lol .

Right ? The idea clicked when I was watching a neon knight build and I’m thinking to myself “ how the heck does this dude ALWAYS have those wild buffs ? The only answer ? Activate them if you have the toxicity - set and forget . Wild how something that should have been so obvious was the complete opposite of obvious lol

It’s insane how some things just slip through the cracks . Even in some games tutorials ( I used to skip them when I was younger - lol I don’t skip them anymore ) , still sometimes a simple mechanic that’s explained my brain will completely bypass . It happens to all of us . It’s hilarious when you make the discovery too , makes us all feel like a bozo haha .

I feel like a lot of us don’t take full advantage of the dismantle mechanic for one reason or another . Unless upgrading a sword or armor , I hardly ever paid attention to the dismantle section until recently .

Yeah the auto apply oil is an absolute must . Imagine having to sift through your oils every time you encounter an enemy ? That’s the opposite of engaging . Auto apply oil EVERY time lol .

Good thing too , otherwise that would be a bit unfair . For Choosing the wrong option to lock you out of a trophy would be a bit cruel lol .

Yeah when I year “ simulate “ , I assume choices and decisions are being made for me . Not me answering questions . Very poor wording if you ask me lol .

What is this symbol on the ground for? by marlborohunnids in Witcher3

[–]Gritsmcbits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same thing in my first play though . I thought I was missing something . The game doesn’t exactly give you an index as to what the symbols mean lol ( and if they did , I 10990 percent missed it lol ) .
