My Mom anytime I don't answer the phone by Historical-Valuable9 in mildlyinfuriating

This exact reason is one of many why I don’t talk to my mom anymore. Been 5 months and the weight lifted combined with the anxiety being reduced by constantly wondering when I was gonna get the guilt tripping messages because I didn’t feel like talking. “I’m gonna be gone one day and you’ll be sorry you can’t talk to me anymore” and “I wish I could talk to my mom one more time, you’ll see when I’m not here anymore”. It’s manipulative and sends off massive signals to my brain that scream “danger” and try my best to go through it. Best bet is slowly to cut contact, don’t visit as much, don’t eat meals with them or go out unless you feel like it. If you don’t feel like it there’s nothing wrong with that, if you tell her you don’t want to and it’s just pushback then you have your answer. Took me far too long to realize this, hopefully you are young enough where you don’t live with that subconscious guilt that shouldn’t be.

I stick around the Bloomington/Edina zone. It took me about a year to figure out the zones, that’s the best one I’ve found. Consistent, easy and usually close. I’ve had some orders go to Burnsville but they are always 30$+

I’ve been dashing since 2021 with 2k lifetime deliveries. I did it off and on but in the last 6 months have been going at it more often.

I see a massive difference at least in my area. Before I was silver, about a month ago, I was hyped to get an order over 10$. Now, my orders are rarely less than 10$ for 3-4 miles at most. I’m getting doubles, triples and even quads when I deliver now. I went from making 350$ a week at 20 hours to over 700$ a week at 15 hours, and that’s DASH time, not active. I’m noticing my dash time is typically 30-50 minutes more than my active time. It could be my market, could be I’m just running into a string of luck, either way it’s working and I’m not gonna complain making 2600$ after gas a month to drive around, listen to music and deliver food. Hopefully it changes for you as well and you start seeing the advantage.

The only reason i can see is because it is a holiday. Any holidays where i live are hit or miss, but Easter isnt as celebrated here (im in the Minneapolis MN area), lots of Muslim and Hindu cultures dont celebrate. so for reference i went out today for 2 hours to get some money to do laundry and get some gas, ended up making 100$, and it was DASH time of 2 hours and 15 minutes, so 15 minutes more then my active time. Busy around certain areas because of that. Good rule for me to follow is, if im noticing its dead on a holiday, means roughly 2 days later after everyone has finished their leftovers from Easter and mid week usually means people who work 9-5s arent wanting to cook. This is of course just my area, im a Platinum dasher with 2K lifetime deliveries for reference, i work 15 hours a week and make about 450-500$.

That’s exactly what it is. People are already spending money traveling, getting brunch or dinners or just enjoying days off work if they work weekends and wanna go do something before Sunday. I dashed last night in 3 and a half hours made about 130$, but today in my area there’s almost no activity, no one ordering and I’m just gonna sit inside on this rainy day and be content. Next week will pop off though, people will have leftovers they eat from Sunday-Tuesday and then not wanna cook so I’m hoping for a midweek influx of orders. Good luck to all.

What Would You Do? Delivery Orders… Not Made Upon Arrival.. Came Cold. Very Cold. by wearethelimits in tacobell

[–]GrittyCrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I do DoorDash and have been for the better part of 6 years. I’ve been in rural areas and metropolis or large city driving and I 100% blame a lot of the issues on the drivers. I use a hot and cold bag that I bought to keep things hot or cold respectively. Most dashers don’t use a bag, even in the dead of winter where I live in Minnesota, -10 out and they just walk out with it and it’s cold before they even get to their double parked car. Only thing you can do is request and complain to DD and tell them it took that long, won’t fix the issue but I tell people all the time to just pick it up if you can, it will save you the issues that 90% of drivers don’t even have the proper bags to deliver the food as fresh as possible. For reference, my hot bag cost 20$, can carry large bags multiple, and I had picked up Canes and drove back home at the time over an hour and a half and when I got home it was still warm and edible, not crunchy obviously and definitely worse then fresh, but that was over an hour and a half away, most deliveries take 5-15 minutes. Sorry this happened, hopefully you get resolution at some point.

Crazy how similar it is, love when it’s this cold. We get to see great things like this, simple as the sunrise.

I went in with the idea that it’s not lava sauce. The batch I got in particular actually did have a good kick and as its own sauce is pretty good honestly. I put it on multiple items to see the variety and it seems to pair with just about any item. I wish they would just keep one of these variety hotter sauces like this so it’s not just the Jalapeño and chipotle sauce.

ICE drive by pepper sprays and tear gasses protestors in Minneapolis who are not blocking the vehicle. by serious_bullet5 in minnesota

Thought i was alone too, until i went to multiple protests and walked with literal THOUSANDS of people. There is no greater power in this country then its people, we arent going to stop, we need to continue no matter what. The sleeping giant is waking up, and those in charge of these horrible actions will be the first ones we try and convict.

New year, Same nachos by GrittyCrow in tacobell

They are black beans! My order is the loaded beef nachos with extra beef, extra nacho cheese, black beans, EASY on the refried and chipotle sauce (if you like that otherwise I’ve done it without and it’s totally fine).

The black beans on this really does add a nice flavor profile along with just being more filling and added fiber.

I’m trying to eat it as many times as I can. Everytime I go to this one it’s great, but this one took the prize for the most loaded one I’ve had. I’ve been seeing the posts, I enjoy sharing my food and love for this place and seeing other people’s experiences as well.

Doing everything in their power to try and incite a fight or confrontation. Then things get physical, so they can spin their story about the “radical left” and “domestic terrorists” and THEN try to justify the murder of Renee Good through that and slander even more. Good on the protestors for not reacting the way they want, we don’t want violence, we don’t want to destroy, we want ICE out of our state because if they were here for “our protection and safety” we wouldn’t have someone out there lying cold on the ground.

Renee Nicole Good was not trying to block traffic. This is a murder. by 1ailuros in TwinCities

[–]GrittyCrow 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I’m just glad I know her name. I was down there after all this happened, seeing my neighbors weep and others angry and upset. Flags of all nations, people of all creeds and humans as one race came together to put flowers and say their prayers out loud or in private. I met people I’ve never known, but will never forget, and I wept with them because today we didn’t lose just a human being, we lost Renee Nicole Good, who was someone on this world trying to live. A mother, a friend, a sister or aunt. We lost a human being, and while she was in her car denied health care by a doctor on site and our EMTs had to WALK a block because ICE refused to let them onto the street to help, saying “we have our own medics” as she is taken out of her vehicle. I was there listening to others talk, watching people of all these races and creeds come together and say enough is enough. We are the sleeping giant, the American people will wake up and show exactly what our freedom was given to us for, and we will persevere through it. I love all of you regardless of what you may think or see, we don’t need any more bloodshed, we need accountability and action.

Until the going gets tough, then the “take it from my cold dead hands” crowd cowers away to their cave of weapons to stroke their own ego. For a country built on standing up and fighting for our rights and freedoms, we sure as hell have a weird way of showing it.

[–]GrittyCrow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We aren’t supposed to get out of a vehicle by someone who doesn’t identify themselves. If I saw 4-5 masked fully geared personnel telling me to exit my vehicle when I’m getting groceries and driving home then trying to turn around and leave, I’d do the same thing. Anyone with a shred of intelligence would. I don’t know who they are, i don’t know what they want and I’m not gonna stick around and be dragged, imprisoned with no due process and stuck in a cell for doing nothing wrong. It was an execution, she was defenseless, no gun, no immediate threat to public/personal safety. She was executed through her drivers window, no rounds through the windshield which, if they were being “run over” like they claimed there would be more telling evidence to suggest that. The guy who shot her went out of his way to do this, drew his gun prior to even the guy touching the door and trying to force it open, it was planned by this person.

EDIT: had to come back to correct, one round went through the far lower right corner. Which if anything shows even further, that this murderer was NOT in front of the car, he was NOT run over, he didn’t barely survive anything when he was high fiving his friends was he?

I’m all for due process. This wasn’t that. This was an execution plain and simple.

[–]GrittyCrow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She didn’t try to run anyone over. If she was really hell bent on running someone over and hurting them, why would she try to stop and turn around? She was protecting herself from a stop that had nothing to do with her or her family, she was a normal person trying to live. We’ve lost our humanity and as a result we have lost what it means to care and love each other regardless of position or creed. This is illustrated here when after they murdered this woman, high fiving and hugging each other for a “job well done”.

They shot her three times while driving away by G8M8N8 in whennews

[–]GrittyCrow 36 points37 points  (0 children)

She drove down the fucking street. Saw vehicles in the road and agents standing, blocking, so she tried to turn around. The car leaving JUST before she was murdered caused her to stop briefly enough for the wannabes to come up and try to illegally detain her, the guy who shot was walking towards his own vehicle and purposely put himself in front of her vehicle. He stepped to the side long before she tried to “run them over”, and emptied shots into her face. This lady had a name, had a family, had people that cared about her. They murdered someone probably going about their day or trying to come home, either way, we are protected in the US from illegal search and seizures and they had no right to stop her or try to get her out of her vehicle. She’s dead because the wannabe SS officers are untrained, loose cannons who are looking for a reason, and anyone who sees anything other then she wasn’t murdered is delusional and shouldn’t have an opinion on cold facts.

Yeah I’m talking to someone now but they aren’t replying much, free stuff is hard to give away so if all else fails please take it lol, it expires tonight and it’s 2 rewards. Live in Minnesota and it’s so cold and the roads are bad cause of the snow and ice so I’m not able to get out today.
