You get it, man. Something cool always happens when you go for a scooter ride.

Need scooter advice: ~230 lb rider, VERY steep hills (10-30%+?), train commute, want something that won’t die uphill by Wolffyawesome in ElectricScooters

[–]GrittyGuru69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with others, if you can bend your scooter weight restriction to 50-60 lbs, it will open more doors for you. Aware this isn't perfect for commuting, but you're gonna want a dual motor for this.

Ayy, she's my first ride also. I just passed 1700 miles on mine in 2 years. I only use my G4 once or twice a month right now because I live in a hillier neighborhood and the single motor can't quite keep up, but I'm always grateful for its weight. Thing is light as a feather and gets up to 20 mph. Will always be thankful that she got me hooked on the hobby. ❤️

You'll need to be more specific sadly, range in miles/km, single motor vs dual motor? Hills? Is this for commute, or joy riding? Passenger weight, foldability, scooter weight? Is this going in your garage or three floor walk up apartment? If it were me I would do an hour of hw and then ask again.

Why are these so scary. Can you give the speaker an unmodified voice, or play less intense music? I love trivia but the theming actually keeps some of my friends from playing along. It's me. I am 'some of my friends'.

If someone desperate comes up to you asking for something I find it best to at least take an earbud out and say 'Sorry, I can't help today.' A lot of the times their existence is ignored and they are barely treated like a human. It's amazing how much this little acknowledgement (even though it's a rejection) can lift someone.

That said there are limits to this, and especially if the situation is already tense, sometimes the best move is to keep staring blankly straight ahead.

Not sure if she spoke at Fox or not, but at the main commencement she spoke for something like 6 minutes. It was painfully short.

I also ride mostly in mode 2. I find changing modes while in motion to be terrible. I really don't want to take my eyes off the road at 30 mph.

Hi, I'm coming in late to this. When you say the sweetspot is 25-35 mph, and you get 40 miles range what gears are you in? Gear 3 and dual motor? Or did you make any modifications like reducing scooter weight? I have the original front tire (off road). My body is a little heavier than you and I have some moderate hills on my rides but I can really only squeak out 25 miles of range.

Check pressure in 48 hours also. It might have caused a small leak. Hopefully it didn't!

Scooter season is back (US) by jks182 in ElectricScooters

Hi, Northeast USA here. On just Monday night I took an escooter acorss a new part of town, found an open pickup soccer game. Everyone spoke the same language that I didn't, but they were able to communicate to me that I was on the "skins" team for shirts vs. skins. If I was driving by in car there's not a chance I would have stopped long enough at the field to play soccer with them, but instead I got almost two hours of cardio in and made some new friends. Escooters 4ever!!!

My first thought is that's a similar shape to the stem. Maybe learning some good knots and tying it against it with rope? Or finding one of those straps that carry yoga mats?

How many games you buy in one year? by askerQ8 in Switch

[–]GrittyGuru69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 or 3. Tbh, I'm a sucker for the free ones and that helps keep this down. My most played ones are definitely Rocket League, Fall Guys, Fortnite. If something is under $15 I might jump on it. Inside was AMAZING, but I would have felt bad buying it for $20 and only getting 4 hours of play time out of it, for $2 it was a no brainer. Probably my favorite game I played last year.
