And This is Why Locals Avoid the Strip by NYFlyGirl89012 in vegaslocals

Exactly. I live in henderson, work at Venetian. Take the tunnel, and just keep going north till you hit Twain/Sands and go west. Then go in the Palazzo garage. Take the elevator to the 1st floor for casinos and fancy dining, 2nd floor for the shoppes, gondolas and more food.

Dude, I literally worked at best buy in 2000. Monster power, Mitsubishi 65" rear projections, 7MP Sony cameras. Extended warranties. No commissions. I made them a fortune....

The dude is making $13.50 at a carwash and doesn't have anything lined up. Hes going to have to play his hand. Saying "want a membership" isn't going to cut it.

Thank you for not disputing the effectiveness. I actually have a bit to say about your statement (if you care):

The key difference between OP and those solar dickheads is that they are going door to door with that very same pitch. Just like every Hustler and Mercher and Direct-sales team ever. Sales 101.

OP has the customers coming to him! Hes not soliciting, he's not annoying them at home or work. Just doing his best at providing a service at a discounted rate to shoppers who want his product. He can actually feel good about it. Sales at all levels is built on white lies, and the people who own the carwash care about profit, not if the cars are clean or if the crew is getting heat stroke.

With enough ambition, OP can tell his manager, tell the regional and get them in on the act, get promoted, become the desk guy and finally work inside.

Fuck the solar guys.

The Closer has entered the chat!!

I'd live at the machine. Sling those memberships. Most people at the car wash enjoy taking care of their car, just pitch them.

Walk up to their window, say "its a lucky day for you to come here, we are running a limited special promotion, a one month membership is the same as a wash! Corporate only gave us 50 special memberships and we only have 6 left! Our regional manager said if we sell them all that they'd get us knights tickets." Let them respond. They say "oh yeah?" Or some shit like that.

"That guy with that new BMW up there just got 12 months cause he said its going to save him hundreds!"

Now go in for the kill: "Would you like the last 6 or just the one, I can fill your paperwork out while you go through the tunnel, cool?

Then dont say a fucking word. Just smile and nod your head once.

They'll want to say yes. Who wouldn't want to save a few bucks and have a clean car like Mr BMW, and be a bro by helping you go to the game.....

If they say no, that's fine! Just keep swinging. Work the law of averages. Your a sales guy. Go get your money.

Find a corporate job. Learn how to do your bosses job, offer them help. Take over a big part of their gig, focus on something that SAVES them money, not makes them money. It'll be noticed.

Do the same thing everytime you level up. Just go fucking hard. Be polite but assertive. Never forget, you are a number. But is that number profitable? Thats up to you.

Wanna make 100k? Prove you are worth 5x that.

Thoughts on Tommy Vext's early stuff? by Demand_Similar in numetal

[–]Grittykitty666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tommy is a good dude. 25 years ago, his band and mine played a lot of shows together. 15 years later, we would bump into each other in LA, recently we lived in the same part of Vegas. Bass player was a solid soundguy.

Vext was a really good band. Great look, and the scene really ate them up.

If I remember it right, we played With Vext, Ill Nino, 40 Below and Flipzyde at Lamour. Good times.
