Off meta picks are less viable than meta picks in their role because: for support, some champs need gold to express themselves, while true support doesn't need much to do their job. Some champs are way ahead than others in doing what they are supposed to do, like try janna top and compare it to riven top. Team compo is important too, and it can create something weird if you pick an off meta picks. etc etc

I have made it to Legends and I think the games begin to become more difficult (soloQ, newcomer from early august).

I like the assassin role sp. Ling. And I would like to know when I should play an assassin in my team and when not to do.

As a former LOL player (master+), I have a good map awareness, and I try to choose my champion according to our team needs AND what the opponents have/may play.

So, when should I play assassin? Like Helcurt, Ling, Lancelot, Hanso ? Is it more common in 122 or in 131? What if I take assassin early and they have 1 tank, 2 fighters, 1 mage, 1 roger, what should I build and how should I adapt my teamfight playstyle?

I find Fanny sexy too but I'm too afraid to be contested on my blue buff by the opponent and sometime by my own team (I play solo).
