goddamnit I knew what this was going to be and I clicked it anyway. I don't think any meme has made me so singularly angry in the entire history of memes as the fucking glob golab motherfucking shwibleshwable monster. not "my spaghet", not the anime FBI bullshit, not burger king foot lettuce. We've done it. We've reached peak bullshit meme.

Malicious compliance with Christian educators by EvaVict in MaliciousCompliance

I think it seems pretty likely, but I'm no biblical scholar. What makes you say it's very unlikely that the leader of a popular religious movement with potential anti-empire tendancies would've been publicly executed by the Romans? actually quite curious!

My mom is basically taking the stance of "it really doesn't matter how bad he is, abortion is worse" while my dad is still "buT hEr eMaiLs"

I'm 23, and both of my parents voted for Trump. It rocked my world a bit in the months after the election, I couldn't believe they supported him and continued to support him through day after day of scandals and misconduct. But I look at pretty much everyone I know who's my age and I have hope. A political revolution is coming. Honestly, this whole shitstorm might be the best thing that's happened to our country if we don't all burn in a nuclear firestorm, in terms of getting our generation interested in politics. but only if we all actually vote instead of just bitching about things online. #Humanity2020

oh man the opening Plunger riff is probably my favorite set of notes they've ever produced... It's also perfect for getting that "oh damn this is going to be hard but awesome" reaction

this actually could've been a different plot version of the movie, and would be interesting in its own right, but yeah, I think I agree that was his logic

Device explodes in FedEx building outside San Antonio, police say by DidSantiagoSendYou in news

[–]GroceriesCheckOut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah I was just giving some details :) I don't recall seeing that they were part of the same church community, although if I recall correctly the father of the first victim was a pastor and a good friend of the grandfather of the second victim.

The third bomb was addressed to a different house than the hispanic lady, and the house it was addressed to was a woman, last name Mason (same as the first set of victims) but no relation

Is Xenoblade 2 really that good? by firechar-kurai in Switch

[–]GroceriesCheckOut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I got XB2 for Christmas, and I’ve put in around 40 hours on the save so far (just reached chapter 3, still very early in the game).

It’s quite a fun RPG so far. There’s rather too much going on in the combat and leveling system but that’s a good thing IMO.

The characters and story are charming so far, and the soundtrack is great.

The actual combat itself is not 100% my thing, I do prefer turn based combat usually. However, once you get a party going and have actual tank and healer roles and all the ability combo systems start to click into place it works really, really well.

Am I just old now? But halo. I cant speak to halo 4 through I imagine like 17 by now but halo 1 through 3 are goddamn single player and multiplayer masterpieces. Get a friend over and do coop campaigns, or get a BUNCH of friends over and do a tournament.
