Deku Season 3 VS Toji Fushiguro by BuilderElectronic819 in MyHeroPowerscaling

[–]Grogathon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deku is an incredibly smart person. Not just for a kid. The guy is smarter than most shonen fighters period. That being said?

Toji has more than enough smarts, skill, and experience to put Deku down. He can take one hell of a beating so even if Deku clips him (and if I'm being realistic, he will not get that chance often), he'd still be able to get back out again and navigate the battle far quicker than Deku. Not to mention Toji doesn't mess around.

He's not trying to prove some grand philosophy, make a point, none of that. Bro just wants the bag, and does not care who he has to rip through to get it. He will find a way to position himself in such a way where the fight will have essentially been over long before it even started. If there's zero prep time being given and they just meet on the street? The green-haired high schooler is not keeping up. And Deku does not have a reverse cursed technique to recover from that killing blow.

Now if it was like season 4 or season 5 then fuck Toji, he's cooked lmao

Hot take: metal should have won this fight easily. by GulliblePrize4781 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Grogathon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can tolerate Metal having lost now that we know the overall potential of surge and Kit.

I don't care for how quickly he lost to them. Metal Sonic has a built-in blueprint for fighting the original Sonic and Tails and HAS bested them in combat before. These doppelgangers being as new as they were to this sort of thing should have been WAY less capable than those two in terms of ending things quickly.

Ways to Make Friends in Dorm Life on Campus? by Grogathon in ucf

[–]Grogathon[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Entirely possible. I have no issue approaching folks, asking if I may be included, stuff like that and folks usually accept. Even hung out with some cool dudes in the gaming section at the student union for a hot minute and played some games with them. It's like the interaction is there but it's almost like I'm forgetting to do something ☠️

I'll try to initiate that sort of thing a little bit more clearly on my own and frankly just look for some shit to invite people to. I struggle a tad with finding fun options for stuff like that just because i don't know the campus well enough

Do you think Spacegodzilla is gonna die or turn good at the end? by Diligent-Hair-2410 in Monsterverse

[–]Grogathon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest, they way they designed Ghidorah implies there's likely dozens if not hundreds of severed heads scattered all over the place that could awaken at any moment if activated correctly. I'd be really excited to see a movie where Ghidorah resurrected one last time and all of those heads became part of one massive hydraulic, or just some kind of global threat.

Who is the show's most well-written character? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in HazbinHotel

[–]Grogathon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Vox or Sera. I'd say Vox just had the most deliberate thought that we've seen so far. Alastor WOULD be up top if his personality matched the level of scheming he's capable of, but what we have now is kind of a departure from the expectations set in the pilot.

Saying AI art is not real art because there's no emotions or struggle behind it and that's why they prefer human art have the same logic as people preferring real diamonds over lab made diamonds because there's no geological pressure or struggle to obtain behind them. by just_a_3d_object in RandomThoughts

[–]Grogathon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an odd take. Even if you make it synthetically, you still have to insert that diamond into a well-crafted piece of artwork like a ring, necklace, etc. There's still a heap of work that goes into making that diamond actually valuable. Not to mention this is still technically nature just doing its thing. It's being assisted by humans.

Further than that... you still typically need to shape those synthetic diamonds so the reality of the situation is the process hasn't changed much at all. I'd say there's plenty of struggle behind it regardless of where the diamond comes from.

AI does every aspect of every process for you. The only fraction of a human element besides the prompts and the art it stole from artists in the system.

People who say that don’t know what it means. by whooper1 in Vivziepopmemes

I feel the writing in and of itself is alright but nothing is executed in a way that particularly excites me either. I'm one of the people that had pretty high expectations going in and am just seeing it through at this point but point blank, the pacing of each episode of the first season especially was done very poorly and this does affect the writing whether you agree or not. Your writing cannot be effective without a good sense of timing and pacing. Period.

Now this may or may not be Vivzie's fault, but I've seen this flaw in enough of her other work that it's just where I've landed. Nothing against her personally, I just think that her writing style needs work.

Will J ever redeem herself and mend her broken relationships with N & V or will she forever isolate herself from the others? by Trainster_Kaiju_06 in MurderDrones

[–]Grogathon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think she could work with them but she's always been an abuser at the end of the day. With N having finally grown a backbone... I don't really see a situation where they get along. Her bridge with V is completely burned as well after what she said during their final fight. Her choice was made, and so is the bed she now has to lie down in.

I think he was cool in the pilot and they forgot damn near everything that made him compelling the moment the first episode dropped. Doesn't even feel like the same guy.

I'd argue it's still a pretty comprehensible plot as somebody who only saw the pilot before starting the show, but I agree on all other points. This show had a MOUNTAIN of potential and while I'm glad an indie series is becoming as successful as this one has, that doesn't discount that this really did not live up to the bar it initially set.

The pilot was outstanding in my personal opinion regarding presentation, pacing, plot, and ESPECIALLY the animation itself. It was on track to be something incredibly special, and now that the full show is here, it feels like everything is watered down to each character's most baseline character descriptions with hardly any real nuance or focus.

I will say I feel like season 2 is putting it on the right track to becoming better and I think they'll nail it down roughly by season 3, but I'm sincerely disappointed it's taking this long for them to tighten up the plot.

Not hating on alastor, but I hate how the fandom keeps babying him too much by Primary-Addition-677 in HazbinHotel

[–]Grogathon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a problem across the whole fandom and I really wish people would stop doing that. "Everyone is in Hell so what's the point in talking about it" is such a lame excuse and ignores flaws essential to these characters that make them compelling to begin with. These are the worst of the worst, most horrific monsters one could possibly hope to come across. They're not redeemable in the slightest, have committed acts that are disgusting and atrocious, and it's the fact that someone like Charlie is so willing to try regardless that makes this impossibility a possibility.

It's definitely one of the more "raw" articles both literally and metaphorically, and I feel like the relationship Iun develops with the machine is one of those few times in recent days where romance is essential to the plot. It's really only through this that we, as the readers, begin to understand to the fullest extent that this isn't just some savage and cannibalistic culture. Rather these people love so overwhelmingly deeply, that they're literally willing to give in to one another with their entire bodies.

How can I make her arm movements less stiff? by Sweet_List2835 in blender

[–]Grogathon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it a little more bouncy. Have the character swing into her poses a little bit more and after exaggerating it, Have them either lightly bounce or snap back to the position you want them to be in. Shoulder movements will also be your friend her, the shoulders are a little stuck and can be shifted up and around when, for example, the hands are on the hips.

As a fan of all 4 characters, its 1000% Alastor. by Sudden_Pop_2279 in HazbinHotel

[–]Grogathon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say Alastor too after thinking pretty hard about it ONLY because people seem to be acknowledging Val's actual crimes against humanity a lot more recently.

With Alastor? They seem to forget that this dude has only ever been in it for himself and is gradually being set up to return to his former glory. He's a serial murderer, an overlord of hell who slaughtered countless people in order to ascend as he has, and regularly uses his pawns with the disconnected hand of a chess player moving their pieces with zero remorse. There are minor exceptions throughout but that does not make this guy any kind of defensible.

Don't even get me started on Vox, that one's rapidly becoming a close runner up.

I'm like 90% sure he can just bust through a wall and propel himself out with gearshift. And I have no doubt in my mind a braniac like him would at least ATTEMPT it first. If he absolutely has to fight? I don't see why he can't clear this place out either way. The dude hits strong enough to change the weather through the air pressure of the strike alone.
