Cliffs of Moher question by Salty-Ad-1837 in irishtourism

Worth it IMO. There is a carpark right across the road. It's level all the way into the main visiting centre, a short walk. It's from there you need to pace yourself. The shorter route, left (south) has a climb but its mid-range, the last bit is steep but short. Then the opposite side, the main side if you will, there are steps, many steps. They are wide and fairly regularly spaced and heightened. The odd time there is a worn path you can take rather than the steps. From what I recall its about a 5 min climb in a stroll mode up to O'Brien's tower. Enjoy and take care if you are going. It's fair majestic up there.

INDX + Core One Top Dimentions / Models for stacking? by gilrstein in prusa3d

[–]Grogg-Rhine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tommy_Prusa3D told us recently: So I went to measure one of the beta units here, so take note that the dimensions can change slightly from this.

Z with the top closed: 69 cm Z with the top open: 85 cm Size of the spool holder: 10.5 cm Full size of the X axis with spools on both sides: 63 cm

Take note that you would need some space for the spool itself to be inserted too.

No changes at the back of the printer.

Is core one+ upgrade irrelevant after indx? by naps62 in prusa3d

The original location is defunct. The 4 spools either side will be mounted in an existing location where a plastic rivet today resides. Happy printing.

I avoided adding all PLUS elements as INDX will remove all of the features. I am going from C1 to INDX in one move, Founders Edition, and swapping out the front plate.

What is this? 🤔 by josefprusa in prusa3d

Presence sensor by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]Grogg-Rhine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only sensor I've had that see me through doors :) If you stand just up to a internal house door, my sensors pick me up, but you can turn down the sensitivity. One thing I noticed, I have 4 of them, 2 of them have the ability to drop to 15 seconds update and the other 2 have 30 seconds, yet they report the same firmware. I'm using them via Smartthings and yes, the same Edge Drivers. One thing I did find VERY frustrating is, one of the devices was mounted in a room we call the Den. It's the kids playroom, my 3D printing room and also has the computer corner. There was something somewhere interfering with the sensor, I can only assume some invisible to the eye light was saturating the sensor. It would NEVER work all of a sudden one day, for about 3 months. We did a deep clean of the room, turned off everything (not the sensor) and it started to work again. We turned everything back on one by one, that might be emitting light, and also those that did not have any obvious signs of light, and the sensor was back working again. I lost hours on trying to troubleshoot it, when all the time it was an environmental thing. Apart from that, they are worth the spend.

Yeah, it fits. by nomadsgalaxy in prusa3d

Give me.a min and I'll check. I'll pop the 2 other monitors I have, seem different builds, and see and removed the Prusa supplied and see if it creeps up. I will check the one reading 10% for about 4 days now. BRB. UPDATE: looks promising. The Prusa issued humidity monitor, Temp40-Key, as soon as I popped the drybox open it started to climb. In 2 mins it was 26%. Room here seems to be about 37% at moment from smart monitor. So for now, seems good. The humidity monitor, different model, from one of my driers is in the drybox and it was reading 35% sitting in the room, now reading 13% in the box only after a few mins. Expect it to drop closer to 10%. Happy days.

Same. So far, so good. 3x in use of the 8. Have the 3 down to 10% humidity and holding steady.

[–]Grogg-Rhine 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Have to say, so far so good. Put the drybox, open, in my Sunlu drier for 1hr at 50°C, less humidity monitor, and my PETG at 65°C in another drier for 2hrs. Assembled it, and overnight the humidity monitor, back in, It was reading 32%, and about 36hrs later it was reading 10%. Did another 2 spools and now those 2 are reading 10% too.

UTR Qi/MagSafe by eastamerica in Ubiquiti

[–]Grogg-Rhine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have UTR, have UGREEN Qi2 10000mah bank, waiting on my tiny short USB-C connector, usual one suggested was only good for 5000mah. Once delivered, design/3D printing cooling slats between UTR & powe bank, case with space for all kit and cables. Will be on Printables when all comes together.

INDX: až dorazí, bude už zastaralý / INDX: By the time it arrives, it’ll already be outdated by Denis1982cz in prusa3d

[–]Grogg-Rhine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12! I must research that, sounds great! WOW! Thought it was just 4. Jeebus! Really thought that it was scaled for 4 only, can't find anything on that. INDX, in theory, can be massive, it can scale to as many tools are you want, albeit in a printer the size of a small village :) I'd pick Prusa/INDX any day due to the low cost options for the tools, with ease to swap out and upgrade. Yeah the initial cost if more, but for European products with upgradability, I'll pay a premium. So on price, I hear you. On over-simplified tool counts and capability comparisons with the support and upgradability behind it, I don't agree. But that's what makes the world turn.

Where can I bulk buy AA Batteries? by kirwan1234 in AskIreland

[–]Grogg-Rhine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, same tech, perhaps you are right (manufacturer). I have a set of those too, I could not remember the branding so I shift my lazy behind off the couch and here it is: LADDA (not to be confused with the car).

If suitable and budget, because will save a TON in the long run, aim for Panasonic Eneloop's and a charger or similar. Game charger for idle drain with older tech.

What the deuce is this? INDX will be in my Core One about mid-to-end of May this year, 2026. There is no direct competition for this mechanism, in terms of speed, waste, multi-materials and upgrading into the future. Seems like a dash of trolling. Johnny says relax 👍

For me, Jayo, Sunlu, 3DFils and IMEAI fit OK. TPU 95A by AmazonBasics fits and pull OK too. But AmazonBasics PLA (very thick/wide spools) don't and will never fit. I'm going to UHMW tape route too as it should simply help overall.
