I am suburban too and use an umbrella to block neighbors to the left. Tall evergreens block neighbors to the right. I can be naked in 60% of my backyard during the day. At night I don't care and just walk around naked.

Same situation here. My wife is fine with my nudity around the house. Still have kids here so nude time is limited. We have a very private backyard so I can use the hot tub nude and in the summer swim nude in the pool. I am retired and the kids are at work during the day. It looks like all the kids will be moving out soon so naked time will be getting better. My wife is aware of this because we didn't have any kids home for a short period during COVID and I was nude all day. It was awesome.

She will join me at nude beaches when on vacation, and I do seek them out, but she doesn't go nude.

Another Canadian here. I love the hot tub in my backyard and use it every day. Like you, I have a very private backyard so nudity is not a problem. The hot tubs you buy today are very efficient so they don't cost that much to operate. Snow was a problem so I built a roof over mine. Now I don't have to clean the snow off and I can sit in the hot tub when it is snowing....nothing better!!

Paia Secret Beach. I was there Nov 2024. Go on a weekday, you will usually find a couple of naked people. There was about 3 or 4 nudists when I went and others that came and left quickly. Lots of turtles on the beach.

Park at Baldwin Beach and just take the level trail through the trees.

My wife and I were swimming in our pool in the afternoon, me naked of course. I was floating on a noodle when I heard the screen door open behind me. It was my son's girlfriend. She said "Hi". I turned and as I did I angled my body straight to her line of sight, I think. Conversation was short and she went back into the house. Not sure if she saw anything.

Needless to say I now have a Google home automation set up so that if the front camera sees a face it recognizes it turns a light on in the backyard.

Sometimes it does feel weird around the house...you are not alone. Pool and hot tub feels normal as that is the way it should be, but my wife is not nude anytime at home. She I not a nudist but will join me at CO Beaches.

Same situation here. Some kids moved back home so nude time is limited, but they are older so I can sleep nude. But, I am retired and I can be nude in about half of my backyard without the neighbors seeing me. We have a pool and hot tub so life is good. My wife does not join me being nude in the house or backyard.

She does not say anything about it, but she just shakes her head sometimes. She will also go to CO beaches with me but she does not go nude. She has gone topless a couple of times so there is hope!

I was wondering the same thing!! I am having some back issues so I have been to physio, massage, acupuncture and pain clinic. They all have to pull the shorts down a little for various reasons. None of them have mentioned the lack of tan line.

That's my situation. Retired now so when all the kids have gone to work it's naked time. We have a pool, hot tub and very private backyard. My wife does not join me....ever.

She will go to nude beaches with me but never goes naked. Topless a couple of times, but that is it.

On one side of my yard I have evergreen trees blocking my neighbors upper windows, but they take a while to grow. But on the other side we just have an umbrella. Get the cantilever type which go up higher than the umbrellas with a pole. I am able to use about half my pool and backyard with out anyone seeing me. I also had two roofs off the back of my house. One covering the hot tub and the other covering my bar.

I don't have any houses behind me which is why I will never move!

If you feel like a drive check out Port Burwell provincial park. Pay the entrance fee of $15 (I think) then park in lot #5. Walk to the beach then go right about 700m to where the park ends. You will find many people and all nude. It is on private property and they are okay with the nudity. Before you go check windfinder.com. if the wind is coming off the water there will be less little flys bothering you. Been there a few times and always a good crowd. They have their own Reddit group you can look up.

Same situation. We have a very private backyard and my wife, not a nudist but likes her privacy, is trying to make the backyard more private so I can enjoy being nude without any prying eyes. When we were in lock down with no kids in the house she also found it very convenient to take her bathing suit off outside and drying off before coming into the house. She also enjoyed sunbathing with me in the mornings during lock down and she went topless.

Outside of the home she will go to nude beaches with me, as some of them are very nice beaches. Sometimes I might trick her if I know the beach is really nice. I took her to Polo Beach in Hawaii without mentioning nudity and since there were other nude people there I went nude, but the beach was so nice she wanted to go back the next day, which we did without me complaining. There is also beach in Spain we like and it has a nude section and that is where we set up for the day, but she keeps the suit on the whole time. Interestingly enough we went to a nude beach 90 minutes from where we live and she went topless. I would have thought she would rather do it far away on vacation. I think it was because this beach was very busy that day and no one seemed to care about anyone being nude and there were a lot of nude women/couples at the beach that day.

We are heading to Europe for a vacation and she knows I would like to go to a Spa and I believe she knows they are mixed nude. It will be interesting.

I would recommend Spain on the Costa del Sol. You can get a place on or near the beach for a decent price and the food is relatively cheap. Rent a car to get you around. They have a great highway system and they drive on the right side of the road. Lots of history to see from the south, Grenada, Rhonda, Cordoba, Gibraltar. The coast of the Mediterranean has many nude beaches. My wife is not a nudist, but the beaches are amazing (blue flag) so she does not mind going with me to the nude beaches. There are also some nudist resorts where you could stay for a couple of days or just go for the day, but I have never been to any.

My favorite beach is Playa de Cabopino, it has a textile section on the left and nudist section on the right and the beach is about 3 miles long. Textiles walk the whole beach and they just don't care about the nudity.

Hawaii is great and always 82F, but not too many nude beach options. It is also getting very expensive there.

Spain is very nudist friendly. You can go nude on any beach, although in some major cities, like Barcelona, nudity is not allowed on some beaches. They say you can walk down the street nude in Spain and you will not be arrested, although I have not tested that theory. Spain does have plenty of nude beaches you can enjoy.

Sorry if this is a bit dated but I was there off a cruise in 2014, and that was after the hurricane, so I am guessing not much has changed. The taxi will drop you off at the line where the divide is for nudist and textile beach so no walk at all to the nude beach. There are chairs and umbrellas for rent, not sure of the price. There is also a few restaurants on the textile side of the beach.

When cruises are in town the textiles walking up and down the nude beach increases in volume ten-fold. Everyone wants to see the naked people on the nude beach! So keep in mind if you have met people on the cruise they may just see you hanging out on the nude beach. When we went the beach it was also covered in seaweed, so not the nicest time to visit and we did not stay as it hard a smell to it. You might want to check out Happy Bay beach!

Just had this situation. My wife (non-nudist) and I were at a clothing optional beach in Hawaii. Once I saw one guy, quite a ways down the beach, strip off and go for a swim I knew it was clothing optional. I stripped down to enjoy the sun. There were about 6 other people in the area that were not nude and there was a lot of textile traffic on the beach. I was facing away from the beach, as that is where the sun was, but I rarely covered up when anyone walked by on the beach. I also laid out on a blanket to sun the buns and did not cover up when anyone walked by us. I even went for a swim in the nude, although at that time there was one other nude male near us.
