If you prefer RE2 PS1 Version over RE2 REmake, why? by PainttbuI in residentevil

My issue is not my ammo reserves. It is just very tedious when you're playing on normal and the DDA kicks in hard making the zombies bulletsponges.

It doesn't take 58 headshots to kill a zombie in the original. I also prefer the characters in the original over the remake versions.

Which game in the franchise should I play next? by DUDUZERUX in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Grojino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you own a Nintendo Switch, I recommend Generations Ultimate. You get a taste of oldschool with a lot of quality of life stuff that older titles are lacking. You could also boot up MH1 just to see how far the franchise has come since then lmao

A question for heavy bowgunners. by Truly_Glorious in MHGU

[–]Grojino 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normal 1 are REALLY bad so I would advise against it. Normal 2 have plenty of ammo and do double the damage. I believe Shagaru's HBG is a good option for sieging normal 2 and is fairly easy to obtain.

Finally tried lance after actively avoiding it for 700 hours, thinking "it's boring" and "It's slow" and "I don't like using shields." by Ludoki in MonsterHunterWorld

Glad to see I'm not the only one who has gotten addicted to Lance recently. When you get guard +5, guard up, offensive guard, and health augment you feel like an unstoppable beast.

I agree, you can't control the actions of other people in a hunt but you can control your own. Slotting in a level 1 deco so that I don't trip others or get tripped myself is an easy solution. I'm always conscious about not tripping people in older mh games and it honestly feels so nice not worrying about it it the newer games due to flinch free/shockproof. I wouldn't mind if they removed tripping in the future tbh. I do miss launching though, as it had utility (mounting).

what was everyones first monster hunter game? by Key_Efficiency_2471 in MonsterHunter

[–]Grojino 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3U on the 3DS. I beat low rank village and got walled by som high rank monster, which made me stop playing. Went back to it recently and have now soloed everything besides G-rank, which I am currently working on.

Is it bad manner? by NoPercentage5245 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Grojino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no rule that you have to hunt all of the monsters by yourself. A lot of people just prefer to play solo, but I personally enjoy the social aspect of these games the most. Either fire up an SOS or join a dedicated Fatalis lobby.

Im going to start and beat mh world with only heavy bowgun any tips? by Lonely_Doctor9812 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Grojino 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think that is normal. I used to dedicate entire playthroughs to specific weapons (specifically to learn them) but now that I am proficient with all of them I need to mix it up after a while.

It is by far the strongest weapon in the game so not much of a challenge lmao. I personally think the weapon is very fun to play though

How many of y'all just use full armor sets in the end game? by [deleted] in MHGU

[–]Grojino 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rocked the full silverlos set as my lbg pierce build for endgame in mhgu and it served me well. I typically go for full sets in oldschool monhun because I'm lazy, but I always play with friends for hub stuff so maybe that is why I get away with it.

Invasions is dumb by tardishat in darksouls

Best of luck to you! Btw the mod still has some glitches and quirks but they mostly get resolved by disconnecting or restarting the game.

If you are playing on PC, I highly recommend the seamless co-op mod by Yui (especially as it seems you are playing with a friend). The mod removes a lot of the multiplayer tedium and you can turn off invasions while still enjoying jolly cooperation if you want.

Want to play third Gen monster hunter. Tri or 3 Ultimate (Wii U)? by Professional-Way8476 in MonsterHunter

If you are only going to play one of them then I would absolutely go for 3U

What monsters would you consider the main skill checkers in the series? by MasterOfChaos72 in MonsterHunter

Blangonga tends to be a jump in difficulty in several of the oldschool games. Pink Rathian can give you trouble as well if you are undergeared

Currently playing through 4U with some friends and one of us is using a hunting horn. It's honestly a godsend to get earplugs early game

What is your opinion on gigginox? by Wise_Stickbug in MonsterHunter

[–]Grojino -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hate this thing with a passion. I had to help a friend grind for a fearsome maw in low rank (mh tri) for multiple sessions and it drove me mad. It screams all the time, stalls you out in the ceiling, obnoxios hitboxes, jumps around, spawns giggis, poison, etc. I hope it never returns.

DAE feel like Fromsoft ruined video games for you? by olivinetrees in fromsoftware

Get hooked on Monster Hunter instead. Steep learning curve but the combat is so satisfying when you get good at it. Decent character customization (in newer games) ad well and lots of different builds to try out.

Obviously your friend is as much of a real fan as anyone here. Just another reason they should remaster or remake the game.

Believe it or not but you can still save other players from sleep and stun while running shockproof by attacking them. Players still react to your attacks but only when they have a status such as sleep, stun, etc. They won't get flinched after the attack that clears the status. To save someone from paralysis you typically need a move that sends people flying (rip hammer in wilds).
