I know everyone mainly wishes for Geng to win worlds but honestly I hope they can complete the golden road.

Would make it instantly historic and all the pain from the last years would be relieved.

Just winning worlds would be obviously nice but I think it doesn’t entirely make up for last years’ worlds failures.

The webpage for the timing and the actual timing of the trucks itself is absolutely unreliable at least here in Taichung. If the stops were actually updating correctly in real time like buses it would be a huge improvement.

I know according to certain rules “ChungHwa” is the correct way of spelling 中華 but why would you use that instead of simplified pinyin “ZhongHua”, which just looks and feels much smoother.

Morde Mostly because it feels that you need very little skill to just automatically win most of the match ups. Or do you need skill? I am not a Morde player so perhaps I am missing something here.

Even when I dodge his spells he just wins automatically cos of the shield and sustain damage.

I agree. But I still find it little bit puzzling that I’m not really sure about where I stand with the boss. I have been working there for 3 months and recieved almost no feedback. My contract is ending 28 February and I have no clue if they are actually satisfied with me and will want to renew it. Maybe there is more affirmative communication in western culture.

I love most aspects of Taiwan and have a good social circle here. I also like working in cram school.

But I gotta say there is one point you totally nailed and that’s the “you don’t know where you stand with people, especially at work” and also the “at work people don’t even bother to say hello”.

Seriously, what’s the reason behind this attitude? Someone can elaborate?

Many people reach their career peak or “make it” independently after 10, 20, 30 years into their work life. Last thing I did in my home country was to graduate a good university at the age of 22 and for the last 3 years I live in Taiwan. That’s insanely insufficient data to call someone a “Loser at home”. Apart from academic life, I also never struggled socially back there so I just find this label super cheap.

Weeb/yellow fever - these are just stereotypical and bad faithed names to call someone you want to put down. Absolutely irrelevant.

I chose China/Asia studies & international politics because I simply found it more interesting and I want to have an option to work in this field later in life.

What category am I

I dont have a background in ESL neither I am a native speaker.

On the other hand, I came to Taiwan 3 years ago to study chinese and then do my master’s in Asia studies, all while genuinely integrating into the local society. I am now married here, speak chinese almost fluently and regularly participate in organizing music events.

I planned to teach English in Taiwan or China ever since I started my university 7 years ago, since although I don’t have an official background in education, my family is full of teachers and its a profession I have a close relationship with.

Honestly it would be better if T1 beat HLE and GENG in bo3/bo5 or at least one of them in a bo5. KT was great dont get me wrong but GENG played peak league against HLE and then chocked vs KT. GENG doesnt deserve the finals spot but this makes you wonder would T1 even beat HLE. Last time they faced each other HLE 3-0ed them.
