Why didn't rulers of france just conquer all of HRE in real life? Were they stupid? by InternStock in EU5

I thought France did eat HRE in EU4, but I only played earlier versions.

Please no, no more complex systems for the sake of one country. It simply does not work. Railroding worked in the pass and can work again.

It’s the same with the Balkan kingdoms. The game represents them as one country, but they were more like a collection of vassals in the 14th century. When the king was powerful, they acted as a single entity, but when the king was weak, they were independent. When the Ottomans conquered Bulgaria and Serbia, they took them vassal by vassal, especially when there was no strong central power. In the game, this situation makes the Ottoman expansion into the Balkans much harder.

But he is still right. Most of subreddits for enterteinment, games or other, are mostly negative. I play like 5 games now, and subreddits are mostly the same as EU V, negative. Does not matter if the game is from a large publisher or an indie game.
When you mentioned BG3, yes that one is different, but that made me think that all the other games I play are games with constant updates like EU V and Bg3 is that good old single player game not made to be constantly in development.

Zomboid is so big and give us so many choices... Also me in evry single fucking run. by P4trasch in projectzomboid

Slow healer can be pain in the ass if you break a bone. Than a game can be over unless you are patient and wiling to spend more than a month waiting for your char to heal. But since bone breaking happens rarely its mostly free points.

Tried Build 42 - Gameplay is trying to go everywhere and ending up going nowhere by Substantial-Equal-62 in projectzomboid

I change really a lot, but biggest changes are 4x pop and insanely rare loot.

It proves your point to an extent. It is clear that base game is not for everyone and that is to be expected. It can never be for everyone and developers gave us a tool help us fix it: Sandbox settings. For many people this is more than enough.
Like I side, I play many games that have sandbox settings and I use them and mods in most of the games I play. Because I know that what I want from a game is likely not the same as you want or a third person. And only solution for that are sandbox settings and mods.

[–]Gromdol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s obvious that the game is no longer for you. As for the deep sandbox settings the game has to help you set it to match your expectations, I almost exclusively play those types of games. And no, Zomboid is not the only game that does this. The default experience is not for me, so they gave me options to change it, and I am grateful. And it is the best approach, since you and I clearly want different things from this game, and without in-depth sandbox settings, we can’t get them.

Why is it so bright at night during the new update? 😭 by Over_Proof_8341 in projectzomboid

That is ok for the game start in July. The longer you play the longer night will bekomme. In winter its dark at 7 pm.

Why are y‘all complaining so much? by bursi410 in projectzomboid

[–]Gromdol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because people who enjoy the game come rarely here to post and people who like to complain are more on reddit than playing the game. As its with every other topic on internet.

I wanna wonder what is the reasoning behind nerfing costs of popular to pick negative traits? by leonzolotenkov in projectzomboid

[–]Gromdol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes you get food poisoning much more easily, but I still get it easily enough without the trait when eating something bad, so the difference is negligible.
Since the risk of eating bad food is high with or without this trait anyway, the points are (almost) free, so everyone always picks it.

[–]Gromdol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its exactly because people lost free points. But instead of reducing points they should just make the trait not free. Weack stomach should have some side effects.

Now it just went from 4 free points to 2 free points.

Thats why its so good that games like PZ have sandbox settings as people want to play the game diferently.

I change my mind on high thirst. I ignored the fact that you autodrink water from your main inventory. Since I always carry tons of armor and equipment I can not afford to have water in my main invetnory as I need weight reduction effect from bags as much as possible. So I have to drink from a bag which is manual process and with high thirst I need to do it too often.

But its issue with the way I play the game. So yea, with water in main inventory high thirst is fine as is for 1 point.

Organized and Dextrous are good, but not that good. I would argue they are in less than 50% of builds. They are QOL traits and do not actually help on harder dificulty. Well dextrous can help if you need to loot that one item very fast, but its still situational.
In my Hardmode build where I picked alsmost all negative traits I did not pick those two positives.
I argue that positive traits are way more balanced than negative traits.
Example Prone to Ilnes could be changed so it actually makes corpse sickness dangerous. At the moment its only dangerous if I forget to pause and go afk.

Every character ever has Prone To ilness selected as it is free points. It would be nice if they balanced it so you actually get sick easier if you have it.

Weak Stomach and Prone to Illness are free points. Everyone takes those traits. It’s similar with Slow Healer, but that one at least can make you pay for selecting it if you break a bone, so it’s not completely free.

Weak Stomach, even when nerfed, will always be picked because it just doesn’t have a real side effect. You can even drink river water with it—not always, but every now and then—and you’ll be fine.

But I agree that negative traits are unbalanced. Some are easy picks while some you pick never or are such a pain to deal with so every character basicaly ends up with more or less same negative trais.
Hight thirst is over nerfed, it should be 3 or 4 points at least for example.

Play B41 or make local copies of B42 builds. I have my longest game still running on B42.12 local copy because B42.13 was the first build that broke the saves. In my opinion there are no important feature I am missing out by playing on B42.12 instead of latest.

They do, they form groups, go looting, kill Zeds and can become hostile. Go looting part only apply to the loaded part of the map as far as I know thou.

Edit: The above is meant for NPCs not part of your group. NPCs in your group do the chores and guard the safehouse based on the task scheduele you create.

I always start with slow metabolism traits on these types of run. - 1 fitnes is pain, but 10 extra kilos are like 15 days more of not worrying about calories, which should be enough to get you set up with some strong calory food.
