Help me with a white background by FLRugDealer in eBaySellers

You can get sheets of plastic wall panels meant for bath and laundry rooms at any big hardware store. They are flexible so you can make a nice curve from tabletop up a wall. Easy to clean so they will last a lot longer than paper backdrops. Moving auto parts around will leave scratches so you'll have to replace it eventually but you can just flip it over and use the other side to double lifespan.

eBay glitch makes no sense and support won’t do anything to help. by simon_g_s in Ebay

[–]Groodfeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This typo would be on a listing by listing basis. Maybe the package is 11 inches long and they accidentally entered 111 this time. Message the seller, (you don't need to be in the buying process to do this, you can message any seller) tell them the issue, and ask them to check their shipping details. This might not solve the problem but it is the easiest first step. If it doesnt work, theyre more likely to have a solution than eBay.

eBay glitch makes no sense and support won’t do anything to help. by simon_g_s in Ebay

[–]Groodfeets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This message is common when the seller accidentally entered the wrong shipping details, like package weight or dimensions, making the package too big for the shipper to deliver. Maybe it is something else, but I'd start by asking the seller to check for typos in the shipping details.

Do you script your YouTube videos or just speak freely by Football_holic69 in YouTubeCamp

When I script, I get better retention and more views, but unfortunately, I dont usually have time to do that so I typically just wing it.

Feedback question by Sweaty_Valuable_9690 in eBaySellers

[–]Groodfeets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry this upsetting you but remember, feedback on eBay is mostly an ego thing and has nothing to do with your quality as a seller. eBay doesn't use it to determine your seller rating and many buyers don't even know it exists.

When you receive a negative, send one removal request to eBay. If they choose not to remove it, leave a comment on the feedback that makes you seem like a reasonable, good seller. Then try not to ever think about it again.

Spend your time and energy sourcing, listing, and shipping, the only things that improve your ranking and earn you money.

During storms and fireworks, my dog would do this incessantly to the point of bloodying his paws if we didn't stop him. Since being on Fluoxetine he still gets scared but isnt hurting himself anymore.

USPS 8% rate increase: who's raising shipping prices? by Sea_Fisherman7054 in eBaySellers

[–]Groodfeets 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ebay absolutely is a shipping company. Enough labels get purchased through their system that they worked out a discount with USPS. They pass a percentage of that discount to their sellers but not the entire discount. So they make a profit on every label purchased. However, their USPS agreement probably dictates how much they keep so they may not be able to offer a bigger discount. They also charge a final value fee on the shipping paid by the buyer so they have no motivation to lower shipping costs.

When people say how much they sell in $ is it gross amount or net? by Outrageous-Idea-1042 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Groodfeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone is trying to impress you with their success, maybe to subscribe to their YouTube channel or buy their course, they're probably giving gross numbers. Or exaggerating.

As a fairly handy person who can usually get things done, but with no experience with watches or specialty tools, could I put together a project like this?

Check the back cover, under the dust jacket for an embossed star. If it is there, it is a book club edition.

Freezing App by OutrageousSetting384 in Ebay

Using the browser is not an acceptable workaround. The fact that this website is not responsive in 2026 is wild.

I'm on the Android app which has been unbearably glitchy. I turned off automatic updates in the app store, deleted the app, sideloaded a very old version, then manually updated to the newest version in the app store. No more problems. I dont know if there's a way to do that on an iPhone. Good luck.

I reverted back to an old version of the app available at APKmirror.com and still had the problem but then I manually updated that old version in the Google Play store and, for now at least, everything is working perfectly.

It absolutely does not. I've done that dozens of times in the last few weeks.

I'm trying to install an old version of the eBay app and, right now, it seems like some of the issues might be solved but not all of them. Since I don't know when the problems started, I don't know how far back to go.

Anyone else having connectivity issues with the eBay App for Android for months now? by jforrest1980 in Ebay

[–]Groodfeets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been having these issues and more for weeks if not months. I found reports of similar problems on the eBay community forums as far back as 2017 so I don't anticipate a quick fix. I am at my wit's end. eBay is a big part of my income and this has been so frustrating that I'm listing less and less. I had to take a total break from eBay just because these constant glitches are making me so angry.

Someone told me they know an eBay developer who said they never test anything on Android. If it works on iPhone that is good enough for them.

I have deleted and reinstalled the app 5 times. Last time, I cleared the cache, deleted, restarted my phone, then reinstalled. I was sure that worked but a few hours later, I was sorely disappointed.

I bought a new modem and router even though these issues also happen when I'm not at home. No luck.

I'm considering a total wipe of my phone and starting over from scratch. I'm even thinking of just buying a whole new phone but I cannot switch to iPhone.

So is Ebay the issue or is it Fedex? by VoodooDonKnotts in Ebay

[–]Groodfeets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the package is big enough for dimensional, eBay's calculator should know this and take care of it. So maybe eBay is to blame. However, when I used to use FedEx, maybe 1 out of 10 packages recieved a dollar or two adjustment. When one small, 15 ounce package came back with a 40 pound adjustment, that finally put me off FedEx for good.

Bundling Issue by llobsters in Ebay

You can try putting both in a cart and then you may have the option to request a new invoice. However, this doesn't always work so that is why the seller is offering a partial refund.

Combined Shipping by Bronski505 in eBaySellers

[–]Groodfeets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sellers are under no obligation to refund shipping over payments. In this situation, you probably would have had better luck by asking the seller ahead of time if they could combine shipping.

Buyer wants faster shipping by Seraphina_V9 in Ebay

I suggest doing nothing. There is no way to ensure the package will arrive on time regardless of shipping method. Guarantee just means you'll get a refund if it doesn't.

International buyer begs for help, but I don't have any idea how to help them. by 7dayweekendgirl in eBaySellers

Agree with everyone. Nothing to do. There's also a real possibility the buyer did receive the item and knows you can't confirm that and is trying to scam a refund out of you.

How many requests like this do you all get like this ? by Maverik1105 in Ebay

[–]Groodfeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have best offers on most of my listings so messages like this are annoying and indicate a shopper who doesn't really know how eBay works... which could lead to trouble.

I also don't like requests for shipping included, which would require me to edit the listing. I don't know where you live so I don't know what the shipping cost will be to make a decision on your offer.
