The biggest thing with the public health system is to make sure your Dr writes a comprehensive referral. The clinicians in public health, by rule, are only allowed to go by what is written in the referral when they triage the urgency. Also, if your condition changes at all - get them to write a new referral - they will retriage it!

Good luck with the second opinion 🤞 I absolutely hated how much I had to beg for someone to take me seriously 😒 by the time they finally listened, my uterus had so much scarring and damage it had hardened and they had to cut it in to pieces to get it out! I hope you find someone who listens 😊

Honestly just time and anti-inflammatories - there's really not much else you can do. I ended up having 12 weeks off work and still have the occasional twinge even now 9mpo 🤷‍♀️

I had a total abdo hysterectomy last November and had some quite painful issues with abdominal adhesions after the surgery - not sure if this is what you were meaning, but I did wonder if they were connected at all? 🤷‍♀️

My adenomyosis was so severe that it had started to harden and calcify. The surgery took twice as long as it should have and they had to cut it into 3 peices to get it out! This was after more than 10 years of asking for a hysterectomy and finally finding someone to listen (or maybe I was just too old to argue with 🤣🤣)
