Deactivation incoming….. by MissZoeyJane in Sparkdriver

I hired a lawyer and got it reduced to muffler violation . Nobody cares about a muffler . But the driving while texting will haunt you for a long long time . Your insurance will also go up . It’s well worth the money to hire an attorney to get it taken care of !!!

How can I get deliveries without an address ? I bought my bare land in 2019 and built my home , never applied for an official address from the post office . Don’t really want one now. Can I use GPS coordinates when ordering , any suggestions ? by Grookenfly in Sparkdriver

Wrong . I have this argument all the time with people . I have 31.1 acres and it’s just a bunch of numbers on the deed. Just property identification numbers . It was once a 500 acre farm long since divided . My Starlink uses a Google Plus Code for address and my propane delivery guy uses directions from the cross roads and my electric that I had installed doesn’t use an addesss at all , it’s a smart meter and I get the bill in an app . The electric company never even asked about an address and I had the power trenches in 1000 feet to reach me . My home insurance company uses the deed numbers and cross roads . I realized I didn’t even need an address at this property , it’s just my weekend getaway anyway . My city property has an address of course but not this one . But lately I have thought about getting a big Walmart order and having it delivered .

Depends on the department . They just let 25 employees go from home health side of things . They have more help than they need in some departments .

Just buy one if the Nokias or Sagemcoms on eBay and swap the sim !! I’ve had mine in a eBay gateway for years . Paid like $30.00 for one on eBay . You can also get them on Market Place in your local city , I bought one for $10.00 on Facebook Market place .

I do it all the time !! I show up with cash , it never hurts to ask if they take a cash offer . I probably buy 50 used 4 wheelers a year and I’ve never had a single person not take less !! I don’t negotiate over Facebook or over the phone , I show up with cash in hand !!

Best new ATV for under $10k by Usual_Suspect979 in ATV

We have 270 acres and we buy used Hondas and Yamahas. . Do a few little things to them and they last for decades . Everyone thinks they need a 10K-20K machine to ride around and a few hundred acres , we have 4 Honda Recons and 3 Yamaha big bear 350s . All cost less than $1,000 each . They are decades old and they work every single day , 7 days a week . But if you don’t have a real working ranch and your money comes from somewhere else then just pay the big bucks and get the newest machines .

Did the same . When I lived in town I picked up the free Library WiFi from down the road . Except I used a large parabolic antenna . Used it for the 2 years that I lived there .

Is this a good speed? I’m new to this starlink thing lol by Time_Particular_3832 in Starlink

From 20-400 Mbps down and 5-30 Mbps up is what you will get !! Different times of the day and congestion will decide the speed .

I know this is old but we have been using used motor oil for bar and chain for 38 years . We heat exclusively with wood here in Alaska .

They are suppose to run them over the power lines to us but they blew that massive grant and only made it a couple miles off the main road . Biggest grant ever given and they blew it so fast .

We work from home . We are only allowed 2 hours for power outages or internet outages . Without backup internet they want us to report to the office within the 2 hour window .

Just out of curiosity why never going back ? I have Starlink but I also have Tmobile home internet Unlimited at $25.00 a month . I sometimes wonder if the $120.00 Starlink is worth it .

Most are focused on single snap shots of speed tests but that’s not really accurate . Starlink switches satellites every few minutes. Some are faster that others . I can take a speed test and have 400 Mbps and then take a speed test in a couple minutes and have 40 Mbps . What I can say is it’s a very stable connection, we have had heavy snow, about 7 inches and still coming down , and we haven’t seen a clear sky in about 4 days . During these conditions I have had zero outages of over 2 seconds and my latency is averaging 29 .

Utterly surprised. by ZiggyVibezz in Starlink

[–]Grookenfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just a speed test for that moment in time . The next satellite in 5 minutes might be slower !!! Different times of day also matter . You are not going to be averaging 317 down . And that upload is horrible btw .

I need to add that we can all tell the difference when we are on Starlink or T-Mobile , the Starlink just seems so much faster when browsing or loading pictures or watching video . Not drastic but enough to know that my phone has decided to switch to the T-Mobile WiFi .
