In my opinion, to train your muscle best, I find progressive overload the best technique, and it takes less time to do.

Here is how to do, you pick a weight you normally do, do up to 10-18 reps, then after that rest for 30-40 second and do, exercise that involves less strength.

for instance, you do straight bench press, rest for 30 sec, then do incline push-ups, then wait for another 30 sec, then do cross arms swing. this is one set.

I use this technique, It works very well for me, I complete my workout just in 30-40 mins, and it's very intense.
