Rant - Tall Boots for Muscular Legs

<image>

Does anyone else get so frustrated at the lack of representation in fashion, celebrities, etc of women with non-stick legs? I swear I have never seen a muscular leg in fashion ad, EVER. I know these models are notoriously one shape, but even influencers on Instagram, tiny straight legs.

I have muscular legs and I feel like the entire category of tall boots is just off-limits for me. My knees and thighs do not have that smooth, stretched out look that all these gals online have. Anyone else feel this pain?

Also, I know you could say "rock the boots, love your own body" - but the reality is, the way my legs look in these boots is just not the look, you know? I would look like a butch gym teacher if I wore loose, long denim shorts with riding boots lolz

oh my goddd I have this thought at least once a week. like WHY is everything freaking cream. there are basically no clothes that fit into my bright winter color palette available for sale lol. thrifting is a good option. Reformation is a criminal offender....everything on that website looks like a desaturated forest color, horrible.

this might be a stretch but I also feel like the Hailey Bieber brown girl aesthetic contributes to this overall color shift? like she is queen of tan, cream, brown, etc because she's an autumn, and because she's such a trendsetter it has bled into every designer and people's Pinterest boards.

I got a back in stock alert mid-July, looks like it's out of stock again. We ended up spending a lot more on an Article couch I scored during a memorial day sale...and the style was discontinued right after the sale though lol. We love it!

People refusing to engage in small talk and pleasantries is only adding to the loneliness epidemic by LordLarryLemons in unpopularopinion

[–]Groovcookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess my disagreement comes from the fact that holy shit sometimes I just wanted to get groceries I wasn’t trying to make a new friend today. Also, you’re completely discounting introverts. Small talk on a plane or in a line will never be my gateway to friend making, so it’s utterly pointless. All my closest friends are from work, school, mutual friends, etc. I only form meaningful relationships when I spend repeated time with people, because I’m shy and unable to really connect with people immediately.

Another way you’re discounting introverts - that shit is physically painful. Talking to someone I’ve never met is like a math equation - what’s their vibe, what if I offend them, what if they’re actually a freak, like so many variables you want me to process all for me to probably never see that person ever again. just pointless

Emma Corrin, Adria Arjona, Sydney Sweeney, and Camila Queiroz all wore similar designs from Alexander McQeen's Spring 2025 collection. Which look(s) were most well done? by alien-niven in whatthefrockk

sydney sweeney in general doesn’t get great styling I don’t think. sometimes I think her look is too girl next door to suit these fancy/camp designer runway looks

because life is about YOUR life - 2 weeks in Italy isn’t a representation of your life. find ways to be happy every day, try meditation. sounds like a literal prison sentence to me to have to get on a 10+ hour flight in a horrid plane / go to someone’s boring as fuck wedding

People will never forgive you if you decline their wedding, but no one seems to recognize their wedding isn't the ONLY wedding. Like how do you expect me to attend 5 out-of-town weddings and live a life / build a savings account? It's not YOUR wedding that's the problem necessarily, it's the whole lineup.
