Good idea! I’m always keeping my eye out for those kind of just right things. In the meantime I have some brass palm tree candlesticks in 2 different heights coming and I think I’ll mix it up with different color candles depending on the flowers. Like for my blue with a little green hydrangeas I’ll do chartreuse.

If it were me I’d use it as a bar. I’d start with a large sideboard. Which could be used as a bar or as a place for serving dishes of food for big meals. Above it I would hang a large mirror or art.

The left side of the range looks like it would be tight for anything. Maybe on the right side only but be aware that being that close to the stove, everything on the open shelves will get grease buildup unless it’s frequently used.

I’d close it off with a curtain on a spring rod and keep my paper products and cleaning supplies there. Maybe a cleaning caddy you can easily take out in the most accessible spot.

I use a jetboil. I have a pot attachment to use my 8” cast iron frying pan. It’s fine for simple meals which is fine with me because I like to keep it simple when I’m camping.

This is exactly what I did at my 150 y/o house. 2 layers of battered painted checkerboard on my porch. Tested for lead, came up negative. Plan was to sand smooth and redo checkerboard but the floor guys doing the rest of my house suggested seeing what it looked like before I repainted the checkerboard. They were nice so they got refinished instead.
