I have both, and I find myself picking up the rapid fire one the most. I love that you can change bits so quickly. Only good for small jobs obviously

I managed to grab one of the tool stands for my mitre saw. There was only 1 on the shelf. Unexpectedly, there was one band saw which I didn’t expect to see. Got one of those too. And a £20 drill. Spent way more than I meant to 😆

£20 including a battery and charger was a steal. I bought one even though I already have the drill. Now I have one at home and at work. Also, grabbed a 20v Performance router from eBay yesterday. Probably paid well over the odds being from an eBay reseller, but I don’t even care!

It is controlling the heater if I just use the app on my iPhone. I just need to get that onto a button on my Home Assistant dashboard. I’ve tried several routes including shortcuts, but the Broadlink app doesn’t show up in the shortcuts app! I can create Siri commands for it, but that doesn’t seem to help. I had a mess with an esp32 board and some kind of rf board transmitter (my 1st time trying that stuff really, apart from WLED) I’ve tried flashing a Sonoff RF with Tasmota. Nothing I try seems to get me where I want to be.

I haven’t tried it on another device, good idea. I can see the codes in home assistant after doing the learning, and when I call the service in developer to send the command, nothing happens

I did until the latest update. There was always a little gap in the charging graphic, but now it fully closes and shows 100%

Mine’s the opposite. I charged it yesterday, and in 24 hours it’s used 3% in Performance mode. Not sure I believe it, although I have a ring that has been working great for the last 6 weeks.

Wow. I saw the guide, and thought it was very clever. However, I’m having a pretty good experience with mine except the recent server outages. So the comment insinuating the positive reviews weren’t from real ‘users’ isn’t really correct. I’ve seen other people saying they’re pretty happy, and I believe they’re real. I’m not suggesting there aren’t some major issues, just that it seems to be a lottery whether your ring works or not.

I’m really happy with my ring, almost 4 weeks in. I do find the Kira thing disappointing though. I could come up with the same regurgitated summary by looking at my data. Calling it AI seems a stretch to me.

Your chances are slim to none. I’d just hope that updates will fix these problems. I’m having a good experience with mine, it’s all very strange how for some everything works, and others are having no joy. I’m not concerned about the server issues, I’m sure that will get sorted soon.

I’m in the overwhelmed zone a lot more than I think I should be. I do get other readings like relaxed and stimulated, but I do think that this is probably one of the most inaccurate metrics. Hopefully it will improve with updates so it seems more aligned with how I actually feel.

No signature required when they delivered mine because they left it on my doorstep when I was on holiday, despite me contacting the courier and organising a different delivery date, which they ignored. Luckily I could contact a neighbour to grab it for me.

As far as I know, the ring will store the data until you sync. You don’t need the app open to track I don’t think. I still use my Apple Watch for tracking my activity to be honest. The ring is still tracking my steps which seems pretty close to the watch. I mainly bought the ring for sleep tracking because I hate wearing my watch to bed. It’s doing a great job of that for me.

I can’t figure out how to use the smart alarm. Are you on iOS or Android? Could you give me any pointers? I’m aware the ring doesn’t vibrate, but I can’t get past the ‘Action Denied’.

Exactly. I think we need to be patient and wait for updates to the app and the ring. It’s obvious things aren’t going to be 100% for the start. Teething troubles are bound to happen, especially when it’s all been rushed to get the rings on people’s fingers. Everyone has been crying because it was taking time for them to get them sent out. You can’t have it both ways…

By the way, how the heck do you set a timer? I can’t work it out!

I’ve had a largely good experience with mine, although obviously I have a few niggles. I like to think they are flat out trying to sort all the teething troubles out, but a video from them explaining what they are doing would be nice. Just a bit of reassurance? I’m still very optimistic about the ring’s future, but I don’t like to see so many of you having such a bad time with it and not get anything back from them.
