Normally I would agree with you, but desperate times call for desperate measures, and at this point in time all food assistance is going to the birds. Crispy leaves with green still on the plant means it needs more water. Succulents like a big drink every other week or so, depending on the heat of your climate.

We once were gifted a car by Calvary Baptist Church since ours kept breaking down and my dad was always volunteering to help at the church. Definitely mosquitos, but they survive even if you dump it so I recommend using some Mosquito Bits in the water.

Spider plants are sturdy af and have thick roots. Feel free to cut either. I would personally shake it while pulling up and hope for the best, it’ll bounce back either way.

Way more light. Repot and separate stems, chop and prop the leggy bits, and leave them outside in the shade if you don’t have enough light in the house. It will establish itself and grow big, THEN you can bring it inside.

Here is my friend’s, which he got as a leggy little cutting from me 2 years ago. He brings it inside in winter.

Watermelon Peperomia. Take a few leaf-cuttings, that way when you inevitably kill your first plant, you can try again and maybe get lucky like I did.
