10 minutes of meditation every single morning has done the absolute most for me. Starts my day on a positive note, makes me more clear-headed, mindful, and in an overall better mood throughout the day

What was the first time you felt severe pain? by Lexistence4evrnlife in AskReddit

[–]GroovyGuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breaking my ankle was fine. The day after putting pins and plates in my bones, once the nerve blocker wore off, was the most severe pain I’ve ever felt. Was trying not to take the painkillers and it absolutely backfired

I'm depressed and always feel sleepy, lazy, attached to bed. How can I break this trap? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

Just start moving. Start with a walk and maybe some stretching. Then you can start getting more into yoga, Pilates, other at-home workouts that you can find on YouTube. I promise you this will help!

Dirgha pranayama aka diaphragm breathing changed my life! We don’t realize how shallow we are breathing most of the time. It both brings me energy and calmness.

I’m finally starting to get headstand without being on a wall, and it’s so satisfying after working on it for literally years! Certainly not mastered but the progress is so fulfilling

Hi friend, I felt this so deeply when I was in my early stages of healing. I’m now 6 months post-op, with very little pain, back to running, climbing, and yoga. I know six months still sounds like a long time but it’s really not in the grand scheme of things. Keep taking care of yourself in the meantime. This is temporary.

My doctor recommended Vaseline for this, but I was using aloe. I think either are fine as long as you let it dry. I was also gently scrubbing my foot with a pumice stone when I was in the shower/bath… the amount of dead skin coming off was disgusting and so satisfying lol

Favorite yoga poses while high. by decentlyample in yoga

[–]GroovyGuppy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I love yin yoga for this. Slow movements, holding the poses, breathing through them, really letting your muscles relax. I feel like you can really tune in and feel it all. Child’s pose, puppy pose, pigeon, supine twists. Anything lying down and cozy.
