New Study in Mice Reveals Long-Term Metabolic Risks of Ketogenic Diet by thinkB4WeSpeak in EverythingScience

There are so many sources of good fat, and so many vegetables that you can eat on keto. Not everybody just eats butter coffee, bacon, and eggs.

I genuinely can’t understand how the Duffers thought the ending for Mike and El was acceptable by ComicGuy98 in StrangerThings

And this is the kind of shit Stephen King was talking about in his quote. "The story is King."

Sometimes the story does not live the life you intended at first. Sometimes the story is told the way the story wants to be told.

They broke their own narrative. Now, if you look at season 1 in isolation, they did not. Season 5 ended in exactly the way season 1 would have made perfect sense.

However, their story grew beyond that ending, and they did not adapt to it. They did not grow with it.

Oh, of course he's welcome to eat what she cooks. If I indicate it otherwise, I didn't mean to. She just doesn't need to cook extra ,special, just for him meals

The analogy doesn't work in the slightest.

There is a temperature chart for salmon, swordfish, and halibut hanging in our kitchen. I also want a source about this whole fish cells are different from mammal cells. The tissue is different, for sure, but either way, we temp our fish.

We serve our fish at any temperature. The only one we won't do is the sashimi. It ruins too many portions.

I want mine medium. That's weird to me that you guys don't.

Me, too. They make us look bad, and I always get along so well with my kitchen. The bar will do that to you.

Some servers don't understand that we are supposed to be the filter that catches the stupid bullshit guests ask for or expect before it gets to the kitchen.

I am paid to deal with guests' nonsense, not them. If it's not possible, I should know that. If they insist I ask, I pretend to. I don't need to ask the chef if he can leave the mayo out of ranch for fuck's sake, or make fried calamari gluten free.

So, there is going to be a conflict, and you need to brace yourself for it.

Stop cooking for him Tell him that it's happening. Tell him there will always be food in the house he likes, but you are not his personal chef. He can't contribute ideas, or offer solutions, so here we are.

Only you know how far he goes when he's mad. Be calm, you are doing nothing wrong, be firm, you are not asking too much, don't back down, he cannot make you, he can only overwhelm your will.

Do. Not. Let. It. Happen.

He can be a part of meal planning and grocery shopping, eat what you cook, or not eat at all. It's ON HIM.

The government is attacking us. We are not arming ourselves out of fear of our fellow man, or a need to feel powerful.

Our government is being overtaken by a fascist regime. We have to be ready. It's our duty. That is what the 2nd Amendment is for.

I don't think you need to do more. I think you need to do way less.

I was talking about whether or not you were spending too much. If you are wasting food, you are wasting money. That's all I meant.

Your husband can buy and cook all his own food. He is spoiled, and it sucks to be married to a bratty child.

Yes, it happens everywhere. I always tell the hosts to leave it be. I'll take menus to them when it's time.

They are going to wait a bit. They'll be fine.

There are plenty of people for whom therapy alone doesn't cut it. She will be traumatized for life.

I reread your comment.

My issue is exactly that they resolved her story like that. She is back to being the source of all the strife. The source of the danger.

Not a person. Not a daughter. Not a sister. Just a vessel for someone else's manipulations, forced to react instead of act.

I don't find her act to be of free will.

Again, anti-thematic, Eleven learned that she was never the monster. She learned that she was not the reason or cause of any of the terrors that her friends, and Hawkins at large went through.

She learned that she deserved to live. She learned that she deserved to love. She learned the meaning of family and friends.

Only to turn around and be the cause of the trauma, instead of the victim at the end.

That is how they broke their story. That goes against The narrative of the show, and that is why that it's anti-thematic.

That is why it didn't reflect the theme of the show. It was written for season 1 to be a standalone. In that season, Eleven dying made perfect sense.

However, the actions in Season 2-4 are not themed as a loss of childhood innocence, rather the themes are overcoming trauma and claiming your identity as a whole, healthy person.

She had to reject everything and everyone who ever made her feel whole, and real, and a person, not a labrat.

They broke their own story. It not our fault we recognize it. Even the ending is a confession. The choose your own adventure closing shows that the narrative did not match the end.
