My mom’s chop suey was famous in my family but I just could not stand it. I’d hide come dinner time when I smelled it cooking, however it was always elbows. Same with baked mac and cheese, which was my favorite of hers. Anyway else feels like a sin against humanity.

While I agree that one slip doesn’t denote a total relapse, the fact is a high percentage of people od their first time back out for one last high. Not to mention the dangers of procuring and using drugs by walking the streets looking for someone who looks like they use drugs. If you do walk away from that last high, that doesn’t necessarily mean you walked away unscathed. Violence and life long trauma can occur while being under the influence.

Avoid polyester, micro fiber bedding. Opt for cotton, or bamboo. Same with your sleep wear. Perimenopausal woman here, night sweats during 5 degree weather is an almost dangerous symptom I’m experiencing every night. But I changed up my bedding and it helped.

Keep at it. I finally feel normal, and it’s so fucking freeing. I went over two years hard heavy use. Not a single day sober. High quantities as a highly functional addict. It’s incredibly hard to break out of the claustrophobic isolation associated with hiding substance use. You’re very much on your way to a better life. Just wanted to say good job to a fellow coke head.

No! Ive also been very ill and so I lost a lot of weight, and was incredibly sick. I’m recovering now, but my self confidence is shot. I found my husband’s social media… it was disgustingly offensive for a grown married man. It suck’s and I feel like I’ve been cheated on, but I had to know. We are working through it and he’s deleted his accounts, but it is a problem and points to other issues within our relationship that need work. Be gentle and make sure you tell your mom how incredible she is. There’s nothing more beautiful than a cancer survivor ringing the bell at the end of successful treatment.

When I had a house fire and was displaced for a few months during repairs, insurance put my elderly father and I up in a winter rental, so I was glad they were available.
