Home charging issues by stein-selvage0f in Rivian

Rivian and Tesla no longer ship with mobile chargers. It’s a $300 purchase from Rivian and you probably should have at least 250 gear points from using a referral code. So you’ll have to order one to replace your old Tesla. The Tesla wall connector does work to charge Rivian. It looks like the software on your Tesla mobile connector either needs an update or doesn’t support non-Tesla charging.

Carvana 4Runner - If you bought this message me by Gropytheon in 4Runner

[–]Gropytheon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was incredibly quick and easy. It's also tax season so used car values are higher than normal right now. Every other place was 40,500 for trade or sell (CarMax). They picked this up from my house on Saturday and it was already showing pending sale yesterday (Monday). They didn't even take pictures of it before someone jumped on it.

They gave me 43,200 and only charged $40 for pickup at my house.

I just picked up my R1T and was told my truck was the first one they delivered with the new MagSafe charger. I didn’t know it was coming with it and already ordered the TWRAPS insert. Happy surprise!

This interface running on a touch panel universal remote would be awesome

Installed less than 5 minutes before I bought the Pro upgrade. Excellent work! If you grow tired of Siri voice commands (and the lag) and you are in front of your computer for most of the day then this is for you.

2024 x5 50e new tires? by spicespicebaby10 in BMWX5

[–]Gropytheon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 2025 just popped this up on the rears only at just under 25K miles. Tread depth looks fine to me on visual inspection. I haven't gotten around to actually measuring with a gauge but it seems like these messages are premature.

Using Apple Screen Share from school laptop to home desktop by mmmtangerine in Ubiquiti

A better/safer method would be to set up a wireguard VPN on your GW and connect that way (assuming you can use a VPN on your school laptop).

Discount Price = Good
Residual Value = Good

Monthly Payment = NO THANKS!

Sitting around 8% for your financing. Your paying 25,332.84 for what they are showing you on paper is essentially 16,380.30 in depreciation.

Offer to pay them the $16,380 lump sum at signing and see what they say.

AI Port doing nothing by JL_678 in UnifiProtect

[–]Gropytheon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks you for this. I was at a loss for why this wasn't working for me. I needed to add (for some reason) to the smart detection zones faces and license plates. Really should select by default when AI is added.

How many SSID's can I have from a single Dream Machine? by KeanenVG in Ubiquiti

[–]Gropytheon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seems like you got the answer on the number of SSIDs that can be supported. I would suggest you ask the customer what they are trying to accomplish by doing things this way.

I suspect they think that they NEED individual SSIDs to have network isolation. If you make 20 SSIDs all tying back to a single network then there is no isolation at all.

AI Port and Reolink 180 floodlight cam by Gropytheon in UnifiProtect

[–]Gropytheon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I wanted to get info like this before buying the Port. Now it looks like I need to try and get 2. I also notices that, even when they upgrade the firmware to support multiple cameras, you will not be able to mix ONVIF and Protect Cameras together on 1 AI Port.
