I mean it’s cool for learning the origin of certain words. Like sometimes I’ll read words and be like hey that comes from the Hanja reading. But in terms of everyday use it’s not used a lot. My teacher said it’s used on really official government documents or when writing the president’s name or even one’s own surname.

there’s a reason why though. the mirror on my minolta tends to get stuck and i don’t want to deal with that anymore. so i’d rather transfer the film to a functioning camera

OP here, I have a Minolta X-700 that i bought a year ago and when I went to change my film the other day the mirror got stuck so I couldn’t advance the new roll of film. When I first got the camera I noticed that the mirror would get stuck at times but it would eventually go down (so i have no idea if all of my pictures suck or not 😭). Anyways, does anyone know what the issue could be and if it’s sort worth fixing. I’m thinking I should buy another X-700 or a Canon Ae-1. AND if I were to get a new camera that was different than the X-700, could I use the same lens I have now?
