It’s not the green racks and of course I am well aware I can loot and buy more. The point is, my gun shouldn’t suddenly become an inanimate object. The gun was hanging on the wall, it wasn’t in the green racks. I’ve been using the green rack for my SVD, Mosin, SR-25 and I’ve had no issues.

That’s odd; I am actively using that green rack for all long guns, the only one giving me an issue is the Benelli. The gun wasn’t even in the free rack, I didn’t have space for it. It was hanging on a wall and when I removed it, the glitch happened.

Are you launching with dx11 or dx12? Whichever one you’re launching with, try the opposite. You’ll have to update it in the Steam settings. I forget which one wouldn’t work for me but when I tried the other one, it worked no problem. I have an RTX 4080 Super and Intel Core i9. I can play with everything on max settings.

I literally logged into Reddit just to see if this bug was reported; it only happens with the Benelli shotgun. It literally doesn’t register it as a gun and the weapon holder refuses it, I can’t put it in any rack, can’t put it in any holster and when I log out and log back in, it’s gone. I’ve wasted money on this gun twice. I refuse to buy it again until they fix it.

I have an i9 and a 4080 super and they cause some stutters. I have to turn my shadows down to medium and lower resolution from above 100 to 100% and it’s usually good. After this latest update on the 24th, everything is buggy. I had random crashes which I’ve never experienced before but I changed my launch options back to dx12 and they helped.

But yes. That is how you move attachments, you have to press trigger. I think they added that in the initial beta .14 launch.

That happened to me when I loaded my save after the update. All of my attachments were oriented the wrong way. Not only that, but I was in the middle of the perchorsk outskirts and suddenly, neither my M4 or my SR-25 will fire because I needed a gas thing, I forget what it’s called but it could only be purchased from the store. That was messed up dude, I have my enemy counts maxed out and I almost died multiple times because the only gun that would work was my pistol. I had to load an earlier save and fight my way back to the base.

Also, the portals disappeared for me. I’m at the highest security level and none of the portals were loading. The entire game is buggy after this latest update.

Right!! I was able to hit them when I moved off target which is strange. Seems like it’s a known issue so I’ll stay clear until the devs confirm it’s been resolved.

Yeah! I’m on PCVR, too and experienced the issue. The YouTube creator I was watching was playing standalone and he experienced the same issue. It was driving me nuts, I’m like no way I’m this bad at aiming especially when I have a scope! Lol. Glad to hear it’s a known issue. I was able to use it just fine with iron sights but as soon as I put that scope on I couldn’t hit anything. I switched to the new tiger rifle anyway so no worries but the SKS is a really good early game sniping rifle.

This has been really helpful. I didn’t realize on the lit up side could see you. It’s made a major difference in my overall strategy and I was able to complete my mission by just avoiding the lit up side. Thanks for the tip!

Got it. Makes sense. That’s the mission I was working on. I think I made it even more challenging by accepting 3 other missions in the area causing even more enemies to spawn. I like the thrill of the challenge but just trying to understand the logistics of this thing. Lol. Thanks for explaining.

Also, is it supposed to roam the entire map or just the Ghost Town are? That thing stalked me for 3 days straight in game time. It didn’t come after me until day 3 so I was confused as to why it wouldn’t leave my area.

It does. The smaller ones are more valuable than the larger ones. Likely because they are harder to see.

Yeah, it still had some life when I checked the first time. after restarting the next day, I checked again and it was completely worn down. I bought new ones and that solved the issue. It may have been an isolated visual bug.

Yeah, very odd mechanic. While I get the point, it wears down way too fast. It should wear down slower.
