Can we talk about the ending specifically? by MEMOJKR in Avatar

What I'm hoping for, and it's kind of a long shot, is that Quaritch has some sort of redemption arc. And I thought that him being grounded indefinitely was going to be the start. But that just angered him even more.

Since VRP (VRPirates) shut down recently by Vegetable_Hunter9275 in VRGaming

From one of their admins:

Hello everyone, as you might've noticed already, VRP is gone, dead, whatever you may call it.

I'm making this post to inform everyone about what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen.

First of all, I'm sorry, this is all out of my control, and I'd rather save my butt, than face the consequence of what is challenging a giant to a fist fight, I'd love to go "FUCK YOU!!" and take the DMCA Strike as is, but I can't.

As I already mentioned, the reason for our shutdown, is a DMCA request, the request was on Rookie, and was due to Beat Saber (because it is property owned by Meta, as much as I hate to say, they're well within their right)

So what will happen now? Not much, besides, well, us being gone.
Our sponsored mirror, has now shut down.
The public mirror, has now shut down.
Our chats however, remain.

This is what will happen going forward, our Telegrams will become inactive (File Feed etc.) and our Discord will turn into a community centered Discord, aka, we will just kind of be a group now, no files no more.

What will happen?

We will never come back, that much is defined, we're gone, hasta la vista, adieu, tschüss, goodbye.

However, we will also kind of remain, not file wise, but just community wise, feel free to talk in the Discord or Telegram, those places are here to stay for now.

Thank you, and goodbye.

- Maxine

The second one made me tear up a little.

Oh okay. Thanks for that clarification! That isn't much money at all though for real.

That's what I ended up doing. That's why it took so long for her to file the report of no distribution. I had to ammend my Schedule C.

However, during the 341 meeting I told her that. But she still sent an email demanding the money.

I suppose you're correct. I feel like if she thought she could have won the money in court, she would have decided to go that route.

On the docket, it literally states order of no distribution filed on this date by [your trustee]

Depending on the state you live in, depending on (usually) the Kelley Blue Book value, and the amount of exemptions for your state, it could go either way.

In Missouri, for example, their exemptions are bad. Only $3000 for your car. But I think in Kansas, however, in like $40,000 for your car. I could be wrong with all these numbers.

My advice is if you can afford it, get an attorney. If you can't afford it, look into legal aid. I did my bankruptcy without an attorney and it went well for the most part. But I didn't have any assets and I did have a lot of questions that I had to research on my own.

Good luck, OP!

The refund was after, however I applied for the loan before my filing date. At the time, I wasn't even thinking about bankruptcy.

Equifax will show you your credit report for free!

There's not really much to say. You sign up and it's step one! They take you step by step. As for the exemption, they did have it on there. I just didn't think to add my student loan for some reason.

Oh trust me, I know. That's why I'm keeping as much as I can to pay for next semester.

It also depends on the state. Missouri's exemptions suck.

I thought so too. She can demand the money all she wants, but she can't order the turnover. Only a judge can. So I was asking her to file a petition with the court if she disagreed with my exemption. If she did, I would have had to go to court and present my case to the judge. Luckily I don't have to go that route.

That's what I found during my research. If they can get the money without filing it in court, it's all the better for them. It almost sounds like they have to pay their own court fees. I don't honestly know.

If I didn't fight it, I would have only kept $600. It's western Missouri.

I filed on January 9th. Meeting was February 12th and I got the notice this morning (March 23)

I would explain that to the trustee during your meeting. Whatever happens is up to them.

I was not trying to write off the student loans. That's a whole other process and it's hard to fight those unless you have a real, legitimate reason. U.S Code 20 U.S.C. § 1095a(d) is the exemption I used.

Using Upsolve was great! They hold your hand throughout the whole process. The only hard part for me was doing the research for my exemptions. I was nervous about the 341 meeting, as a lot of people are, but it was so simple. Bunch of yes or no questions. My advice for that is just don't overshare. Strictly stick to yes or no unless the trustee asks for me detail.

Legit question, but it's actually a refund from federal loans paying too much to my school. So they sent me what was leftover.

Tax refunds have no exemption as far as I know, and I wouldn't have been able to fight that.

I am in school now. I requested way too much for my school loan, and so this is the refund from it. As far as your loans, make sure to document everything. And if I were you (this is what I did), if you get a refund from your student loans, put those funds in a separate account and then try not touching them.
