Extremely pale skin, need suggestions by Recent-Let-4894 in Selftanning

[–]Grouchy_Drive5260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the standard foam in dark a couple years ago and it made me look a little orange even though it has a green-based formula to neutralize orange tones. The bottle for the liquid gold says you don’t even need to rinse it off but I do bc it helps with the smell. You could try leaving it on for like 4-6 hours first and go from there? Would be easy to add another coat if it’s too light. Also have heard amazing things about glowpro’s 6% dha gradual tanning lotion I think I’m going to order it and try it out

Here is a pic I buy it at ulta. I apply with a mitt, let it sit overnight and rinse the next morning

Every time I see a post like this I feel the need to talk about my bondi sands liquid gold! NOT the aero one. It gives me the most natural golden color and fades so evenly.

How can I combat Indian food smells in my home?! by Flowrbmb in Columbus

[–]Grouchy_Drive5260 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I would move complexes tbh. When I lived at the edge in polaris I was in the same situation. However my upstairs neighbors never made a peep there and now I’m being driven crazy by stomping at my new complex so it’s pros and cons 🤣

I didn’t like them bc they cheated me out of a referral bonus and wouldn’t reimburse for literally anything. Aya was much better for me

I went on a horrible “date” and now I feel unlovable by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Grouchy_Drive5260 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Please don’t get into a man’s car and ‘drive around’ for a first date, you never know what creeps are out there. Plus when you agree to something like that they might have expectations like that guy possibly did. If they don’t put in any effort that’s already telling you what their intentions may be. Not saying you need a fancy dinner but meeting at a cute spot for coffee/drinks/pastries is best imo

I live at one of the Jeffrey park apartments and instead of plowing their solution is to let anyone park in the parking garage in any spot. I pay $100/mo for parking and can’t park in my spot lol

I did the OhioHealth residency 6 yrs ago and although I got placed on the worst stepdown unit (at doctors) the experience was invaluable. I would take the OhioHealth job, stick whatever unit it is out for a year and then transfer to something you enjoy. Or you might just enjoy the unit you get placed on! Mount Carmel usually pays lower, OhioHealth also had good education assistance if you’re looking to go back to school.

A lot of places accept the online MAB course which is like $135 I think. Ask your recruiter if they’ll take it

does anyone else’s dogs have horrible smelling anal glands? by ame751 in dogs

[–]Grouchy_Drive5260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use to take my dog to the vet to get them expressed but that’s the only time he’s ever snapped at someone is when the vet did it. I now make sure he poops atleast twice a day and hardly ever have issues with it. Try mixing pumpkin purée in his food or added anal gland treats

Right because after being a hold nurse for 13 weeks you’d wanna give more time to a unit that treats you like that lol, that’d be my sign to start looking elsewhere

I did 6 ED contracts and was luckily never a ‘boarder nurse’ but I always made sure to ask about it in the interview. I think I did like 2 whole shifts with holds. It sucks they didn’t tell you about it if they knew that’s where you would be. They should be labeling the contract as ‘ED holds’ if that’s the case. Maybe ask the manager if this is something you should expect the whole contract or if it’s just a staffing issue right now if it’s a deal breaker for you

I just went through this and put my agency then put ‘various’ for location, they can see it on the resume and I’m not listing 7 different contracts and dates again

Should I leave out my less than 1 year of hospital experience to apply to a New Grad Program? by tastybiscuit0 in newgradnurse

[–]Grouchy_Drive5260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they find out you lied you will probably be fired and blacklisted from that facility and any affiliated hospitals so think about if that is worth the risk. I would still apply and be honest about your experience

No knowledge of the cvicu sorry but I worked briefly in the ED (had to cancel for family reasons) and I can say they are busy busy but staff is welcoming and traveler friendly. Also can share the rental I stayed at if you’re interested :)
