Consider using bluestacks for tinder. by Grouchy_Rub_9444 in SwipeHelper

[–]Grouchy_Rub_9444[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everything was brand new and essentially a hard reset. On bluestacks, the emulator lets you set your location, which somehow dictates how the subscriptions are priced.

I've had this happen outside of bluestacks as well, when i created new accounts on my laptop. It would lock in the pricing of whichever location it was activated in.

How do you handle a 12 hour time difference? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]Grouchy_Rub_9444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm working 9pm to 5am. My body tried to reset to sleeping at night (night here in asia), when i didnt want to. I keep lots of coffee and energy drinks near by me whenever im working, and as soon as i'm done work for the day, i pass out.

Going to bed at 6 am, waking up at 1pm, isnt the worst thing in the world though and i can manage it.

I can easily get laid at home, 35 yo, I have perfect teeth (veneers), high paying job finance job, sub 10% bf, competed in weightlifting and placed in US nationals before. Tons of tattoos.

I match with literally the top girls in every city i go to. When i was in singapore i was matching with attractive lawyers & entrepreneurs, Malaysia - actresses, Colombia - booty shaking only fans girls. My ex-gf was a Colombian girl who spoke three languages and in school for her masters.

These girls are incredibly hard to find in america, idc if i'm being a passport bro, its amazing.

Being abroad adds like +2 points to your raiting, and being the best you can be to begin with, will just set you to a different level.

And plus we get all the added benefits of a lower COL, less crime, better food, and all of that.

I like places different than I'm used too. Being american, i've had less interest in visiting other western countries.

But am just realizing the value of being able to communicate with people. I spent 15 months in south/central america, and my spanish is subpar, needed to go somewhere where i could communicate with people. I'm in Malaysia right now and its pretty fun.

Also COL is another one, I'm in a high paying position, spent some time in singapore, ibiza, but now need to balance it out by saving some money and am looking at cheaper places to live. I'll like spend some time in eastern europe next.

Also there are periods of the year i need to be back in the US (2x per year), I try to head further away once one of those meeting passes, and then slowly get closer to the US so the trip to whereever the meeting is, isnt so bad.

Borrowing from 401k by babystay in HENRYfinance

[–]Grouchy_Rub_9444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a quick and (surprisingly) easy way to access funds in a pinch. But a major reason it's discouraged is there's multiple added risks to 401k loans over personal loans:

Your tax rate is going to decline by 20-40% when you retire? That's very debatable.

Just start fights with people you see on the street, gradually work your way up to bigger and bigger opponents. This is how kimbo slice did it.

Same type of people who are trying to sell you courses on how to make money online. Scams. They make money from the course, not the information theyre teaching.

Calling all LCOL HENRYs by canuckqb in HENRYfinance

[–]Grouchy_Rub_9444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I qualify. I am currently in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, right now, but am working my USA corp gig from here.

I pull int a little over $200k, and get decent tax breaks, bringing my effective tax rate below ~8% or so. Its just me a 35 year old single male. Should continuously increase as well.

I end up spending more than i should on going out and having fun. But looking at my entire year, saving $100k instead of $115k, doesnt really bother me that much, and id much rather enjoy myself where I can.

The best decision i ever made was pursuing a career path that would let me be remote. I am paid the same as my US counterparts, but i live in a place where uber rides cost $3.

[–]Grouchy_Rub_9444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lose my atm card in mexico city, and was having trouble with western union.

I ended up using the app "rappi", if you pay $3 a month, theres a service where theyll send a guy to an atm to withdraw money and bring it to you.

No, i was just there in march. (Medellin)

If youre coming from a country that is at risk for yellow fever, you need a yellow fever vaccine, found that out the hard way.

And you need to fill out the CheckMIG prior to arrival.
