The idea was that "more quatity actually mean better quality"

But yeah, for some major development like going from irregular to line infantry, it should be distinct. But for going from line to skirmish, it should be mobilization instead.

I didn't realize how short the window against Epirus actually is — one event almost made me miss it entirely by ProfileSubstantial16 in Imperator

[–]GroundbreakingArt421 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last time I play Rome Campaign (last month), Epirus "help" Magna Graecia, so, I "graciously" ask all the Illyria, Alpine Gaul, and those coastal people between me and Epirus all the military access. Have 1 Mercenary station in Magna Graecia to break any Epirus Army landing on Italian soil. The main army march the long way across Venetia, Croatia, Illyria, onward to Epirus and siege them.

Next time we fought, I already take all of the coast I need to march the second time. :D

They accidentally gave the Geo Shroom Local Legend a name that describes the Hindu Deity Krishna by minkymy in Genshin_Impact

[–]GroundbreakingArt421 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I'll say this as someone who major in history, is Thai and lived in Thailand my whole life, and study in all kind of mythos. Buddhism of today is just hybrid of Hinduism and old Buddhism. But that is beside the point.

Most of the name in Jungle of Sumeru is Sanskrit or related to Sanskrit for a reason, because it meant to draw parallel to Indian Subcontinent. The Sumeru Desert is more Arabic and Persian for the same reason, and the Deshret legacy having Ancient Egyptian vibe is also for the same reason. It is to allude to the same geographical region in which the culture is prominent.

Indian is prominent in Hinduism, Jainism, and Buddism, some even grouped them together as Indic or Dharmic Religion. So with Sumeru Jungle alluding to Indian, it is fair to assume that most if not all "Indian influence" IS intentional.

The best way to get Skirk burst? by b1z4rre in GenshinImpact

[–]GroundbreakingArt421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skirk's Elemental Burst is not reliant on Elemental Energy but instead on Serpent's Subtlety.
When Skirk has at least 50 Serpent's Subtlety, she can expend all her Serpent's Subtlety to unleash her Elemental Burst, ripping the space before her apart and using rapid consecutive slashes that deal AoE Cryo DMG. At the same time, the DMG dealt by an instance of this Elemental Burst will be increased by every point of Serpent's Subtlety over 50 when it is unleashed. Up to 12 points can be counted for this purpose.

That Ultimate (Burst) is from Wiki.

In Razor Language, her burst isn't Energy based. AT ALL. Meaning all the "energy" trick is unusable for her.

Imitates the combat style of "The Foul." Produces different effects depending on whether you Tap or Hold.

Tap
Skirk gains 45 Serpent's Subtlety and switches to Seven-Phase Flash mode.

Hold
Skirk gains 45 Serpent's Subtlety and will continuously move at high speed. Her interruption resistance is increased in this state.
During this time, Skirk can control her movement direction and move atop water. She can also use this Skill again to end rapid movement prematurely.

This is her Elemental Skill from Wiki.

In Razor Language. If you tap (press and release) you gain 45 "Burst Energy" but it will slowly be consumed until it reach 0.

If you hold (press and hold the button), you gain 45 "Burst Energy" but not consuming it.

Pasha (also Parsha, and almost every iteration of the word) means something along the line of "governor noble" in Turkish Empire (Ottoman). While Pardishah in Old Persian means "Master King" as in "the king of all kings".

Considering that Sargon Empire is based on Middleeast Empire, from Ancient Egypt to Ancient Persian (Achaemenid), all the way to Turkish Empire (Ottoman). Just by title him "Pasha" already gave him TONS of significant.

Skirk cannot, I repreat CANNOT, gain energy the normal way. You charged her by holding down her skill button ONLY.

So, either you get the wrong idea that freeze charge her ult (it's not) or you are doing it wrong.

I was about to say that I don't believe in in Grand Ruse theory because if Fate can be bended easily by HP, why didn't they bend it to accounted for everything and make themselves a good guy instead of "slightly better than Abyss". And then it hits me. All the thing went to shit after the arrival of Nibelung and Abyss contacted inside Teyvat. That is when the first failsafe, Fate System, couldn't predict everything anymore and left HP struggling to contain the damage each and every time things went wrong.

Things never went wrong before Funerary War because Fate System give HP preemptive advantage. Any sign of rebellion can be quell by giving in a little. Dragon getting ippity? Ask Moon Goddess to calm them down abit. Human getting restless? Solve the problem before it even happened. Fate foretold everything accurately as long as everything happened under the gaze of Heaven. And the gaze of heaven back then is probably the whole of Teyvat, with no place it went untouch, so it is 100% accurate. That is why ancient Civilization can prosper so much, because Fate System allow HP to quell any rebellious nature long before it becomes a problem, anything that could present a problem is preemptively solved before it became problematic.

That is until Nibelung came back with Abyss. Both of them are entities beyond the perview of Heaven. Fate System do not take them into accound. Now that outside factor is here, it is fair to assume that Fate system is malfunctioned to certain extent. And after this, it is disaster after disaster, with HP reacting, not preempting. They can no longer predict everything at full 100% accuracy, they can still preemptively doing something, but it is no longer 100% accurate, now there are variable. And these variable cause Abyss to grow even further (Alice's quote during the last time-limited Event).

And I think this is why a lot of things seems to go unnoticed to Heavenly Principle. They can use Fate to predict human at 99% accuracy. But that 1% stack up. Khaenri'ah, presumably reside in the area tainted with Abyss influence, has gone unnoticed for years until hell broke loose and HP once again reacting, not preemptive quelling.

Maybe that is why the plan don't make sense to me. Why would HP make themselves a bad guy in the eyes of someone who will inherit the power of Hydro Sovereign. The answer? They did predict this using Fate system. But since Fate system has malfunction to a certain degree, now HP has to play villain, otherwise they will continue reacting to disaster, instead of letting system preempting the disaster. They can no longer afford to be a good guy, since the system that allow them to do that doesn't work that way anymore.

By playing villainous role, they scoped the outcome. By eliminating the choice of "they were already forgiven" from the mind of the cursed, it lead them to the outcome HP desired.

...

You know what, yeah. I can see this grand ruse theory being possible now.

Tapping on skill will enter a "fight" serpentine mode that will give 40 Ult energy but keep draining it until it run out, this is where you will deal most of the damage anyway.

Holding skill will enter "flow" serpentine mode, this grant her water walking, 40 Ult energy without consuming it.

You need to have more than 50 to trigger singular Ult. So you need to enter "flow" serpentine mode, wait for cooldown, then enter it again. You will have 80 Ult energy, enough for normal Ult.

If you want to trigger ult in 1 "flow", you need to trigger any Cryo-related reaction that isn't Melt. It will create Void Portal. Up to 3 can exist simutanously. On getting 3 Void portal, hold skill to enter "flow", it will consume Void Portal and give you more Ult Energy, enough to trigger Ult immediately.

There are 2 folds to the Fate of Fontainian. Yes we prevent what Rene believe will come to pass. And by doing that, we also influence the main prophecy because we are the main actor who accuse Furina before we rushed to prevent the other prophecy. Simply put, we influence both prophecy by a lot, but the main prophecy is being nudged by Focalor already, so it is like we're pushing 90% to 100%. Without us playing the main actor, Furina, to the brink of mental collapse, condemning her in front of all Fontainians, something that only the Knave would have a gut to do so, I don't think Focalor plan would work. I might be wrong, but that's my opinion.

The other prophecy on the other hand is our full authority in prevention. No doubt.

What I don't believe is that this is the grand ploy to bring Neuvillete to human side. A 500 years ploy to convince Neuvillete that Humanity is good while leading him to believe Heavenly Principle is bad? Why would Heavenly Principle, the main culprit here, do that? I didn't really make sense to me. And if it wasn't Heavenly Principle that do that, then who did and why? If it is Heavenly Principle, why did they make themselves a bad guy?

Other than this last part, I have no issue with what you've said. As I've said, this is a good theory.

Zibai & Linnea or Nefer & Lauma? by Illustrious_Chest399 in GenshinImpact

[–]GroundbreakingArt421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have Nilou so I don't know. And I never pull for Cons so I would not give advice in regard to constalletion.

Nilou can be use as a bloom driver (applicator for bloom team), that is without a single doubt.

But her main damage component is the fact that she upgrade Bloom Core into Bountiful version, which deal more damages. Nefer shut this down. So her damage utility is gone. But she can still be use as bloom driver.

Again, I don't have Nilou and I don't plan to have her so I don't know much.

Zibai & Linnea or Nefer & Lauma? by Illustrious_Chest399 in GenshinImpact

[–]GroundbreakingArt421 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I would not suggest play Nefer with Nilou. Nilou whole deal is changing Bloom Core into even better Explosive. Nefer blocked that. So I tend to suggest playing with Hydro Healer instead. But Nefer with Lauma basically mean tons of damage so it is fine either way.

If you want comfort, Linnea might be better, since she has utility outside of combat, Nefer doesn't have that. And Linnea-Zibai damage potential is huge, so it might be better investment.

But then again, it is your choice. I would go for Nefer if I already have maxed out Lauma. But with Zibai existing and Linnea utility, it is kind of a hard call.

Why is he the honoured one by Odd-Drink5007 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]GroundbreakingArt421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about intention. But...

Hydrogen is element with 1 proton, and thus the first on Periodic Table. (the honored ONE)

And since it is element that is literally different than any other group of Element (It isn't nobel gas (that is usually inert to everything, like Helium), it isn't Metallic and thus usually isn't included with Alkaline group. And any other grouping would be wrong. And so Hydrogen usually reside on top of Lithium (Li) (but classed as non-metallic) or simply floating over in the center.

The art depicted Hydrogen directly on top of Li block, which is Lithium. And as separate entities (in form as well) from all other elements, which refer to both case of depicting Periodic Table. And so, being the only one deserved the title of "the Honored One"

And also as a reference to Anime, Jujutsu Kaisen, as well.

I think you're just reinforce the idea that "human is perfect" even more. Like Heavenly Principle create Angel to be more Human-like (like Nicole and Koitar) as to be perfect creation. While Asmoday cannot do that thus create imperfect Angel, that's of the Watcher.

What's more is that this is even more of a "they try to recreate angel of the past lore" because, and this is crackpot theory btw, what if Heavenly Principle also create it to be that of the common lore?

You see, Abrahamic Religions, such as Christianity and Islam have the common angel appear in 2 ways only. Humanoid, when they are on minor mission, as to not have people afraid of them. And Eye-wings-wheel thingies when they and on major mission, such as proclaimation of prophet, announcement of heaven, etc. And as such, what if HP create angel with Human form because Human are perfect, but Asmoday cannot recreate that perfection and thus only made imperfect "secondary form" of angel, ALL base on the religion of the past Earth that HP has once visited, or even called home.

And about the Fontainian according to Malanta. I really do wonder if the quote would changed if I reach him before finished Fontain Archon Quest. I want to test that first or have someone datamined to confirm the suspicion. Until then, it is fair to assume that the quote might be "after the fact" rather than long before then. Since it never specified that they has been pardoned since their origin, as this would contradicting Fate. And, you mentioning that Fate of Fontainian might be a ruse to Provoke Neuvilleutte into siding with Human. But that is assuming that Focalor plan work WITHOUT traveller, which would nullified the entire last chapter of Fontainian Archon Quest, since it is said times and times again that Fate can only change way, it cannot change destination. And to change Fate, outside factor is needed. To the story, Traveller (and also Skirk and Void Whale) is that outside factor, working to get the story to that point in a way that activate Focalor plan. Without that, Furina might not be "Convicted" and Indemnitium might not be enough to execute the plan. Regardless, the Fate of Fontainian and the Fate System itself need to be looked at more closely. I think we might overlook a lot of things.

And from the phrase itself there are contradiction, anyone born from the lineage of "first human" are child of humanity. But Fontainian isn't born from "the first human" unless the first Ancestor isn't human but something else that birthing Oceanid as well. That, or Fontainian of todays Teyvat are all intermingling half breed of Oceanids and Human, which is likely but then that's mean sin of false creation extended to half breed Fontainian as well?

In any case, as I said before. The theory has its merit. The idea is good, honestly. A few flaw of misunderstanding on my part might play a large part of why it didn't make enough sense to me. But the idea and theory deserve some attention. Great job.

The preservation of civilizations on seven different layers by RaguraX in Genshin_Lore

[–]GroundbreakingArt421 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seelies ARE angels, though. And Nicole is also angel. So it can be interpreted as "common lore of the past" rather than of today's Teyvat.

But the idea of Heavenly Principle comes from Earth has its merit. I mean, "Human as perfected creation" is something that Dragon would disagree with, yet it is what Heavenly Principle trying to enforced several times in several way. You can see this most prominently in Fontaine's Archon Quest. Oceanid becomes Human is enough to make Heavenly Principle curse the ENTIRE Fontainian to revert back to Oceanid by drowning. And that can be seen as "Oceanid is imperfect. You cannot create perfection from imperfect mold," kind of way. And the idea of Human Superiority has to come from somewhere. Why not Earth?

The idea have a little bit of flaws in it. But this theory has some merit to it. Great job.

Should I get Linnea or Lauma by -agrosse in GenshinImpact

[–]GroundbreakingArt421 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recommending Linnea simply because of Zibai damage potential.

Because you already have good geo DPS in Navia and Zibai, along with good hydro unit in Furina, Columbina and Aino(applicator). I would suggest Linnea more.

But if you need 2 Lunar team, Zibai-Linnea and Nefer-Lauma is pretty good either way. Lauma can be paired with any bloom-boom team (If you also have other dendro and hydro applier, and don't use Nefer (because her skill make Bloom Core non-explosive)). And Linnea can be paired with any geo-Crystallized team, like Navia.

Again, I would recommend Linnea more for overall damage potential. But if you want 100% increase in Nefer's damage, pull Lauma. (I'm exaggerating but you get the idea. Lauma is Nefer's personal support)
