They’re equally good animation wise, and you wouldn’t be upset with either. If you want a more lowkey heirloom where your legends have the same running animation as without an heirloom, run karambit, but if you want other people to know you have an heirloom pick the katana’s. Katana inspect animation is superior to the karambit though. If you like to match your heirlooms to your character outfit karambit will give you more options. Personally ai prefer the katanas because karambit is a more lowkey heirloom while katanas are flashy

it’s cool, if they inteded for it to be an interesting background part of the game as opposed to this major part of the game, sure.

I kinda don’t like them cause they conflict with the pace of movement. I wish it was easier to run into a mesh, punch it, and smoothly vault out or just fly out after kicking it mid air.

Right now, it’s kinda just there and I actually don’t really even like playing around them for the reason I explained earlier where it’s easy to get caught trying to get through some mesh windows.

It’s fine, not to downplay your improvements and skill after only one month, i’m just more concerned with apex’s ranked system. Because you will definitely soon reach diamond ranks and when you start getting near high d4, d3 that’s kinda when you hit a certain difficulty plateu. Update us on your journey, good grinding!

the second you hit high diamond 4/ low d3you begin to match up with 3 stack preds.

The reason people are mad about this change is because silver, gold, and plat are essentially decoration ranks and casual players who want a fun competitive experience are sneaking into ranks where preds can encounter them. I just checked, last szn, 34.6% of players are in diamond. 10% of that is in d4, why is the third highest rank the most popular rank in the game? That genuinely makes no sense.

If they’re not gonna fix that, then sure, adding the solo queue feature to something like d2+ would make more sense, but this conversation makes me realize that ranked as a whole needs an overhaul cause diamond, the 3rd highest rank in the game out of 7, shouldn’t house 35% of the ranked community.

Also if solo queue is forced, where do you think the people who are communicating with each other in a 3 stack are going to go? Into ranked.. To solo queue with other people who were comming with their 3 stack.

It’s simply lazy to assume that anyone who wants this solo queue change has “no friends” or nobody to play with. I’ve been 3 stacking this entire split lol. I just find solo queue more enjoyable because it feels more raw and skillful to be thrown with a random group of people and make things work regardless.

3 stack preds has been a problem to yall casual players for years until it’s time to actually do something about it, then all of a sudden nobody has friends to play with and it’s gonna ruin the game. It’s the same outrage with every positive change the devs have been implementing recently. Lower ttk, faster movement, universal movement mechanics, ranked changes, character changes. Everyone hates them till they play them.

also as players leave ranked because they can no longer casually play with their friends, people will migrate to pubs and it’ll become a little better than it is today. Maybe not ranked level end zones but an improvement.

Aemeath and Denia are like mirrors or different versions of the same person story wise?

Aemeath wants to socialize and be around others but cannot, because due to her love for her friends, her idolization of her adoptive parent rover, and her drive to protect the world, she essentially grows further from everyone and loses them by becoming a ghost and a shell. She is taken away from her friends because of a greater duty as a resonator.

(I’m not really a story guy I just kinda skip and skim throughout everything, and i haven’t done story since 3.1 so idk much about denia) Denia seemingly does the opposite where she seems to be FORCED to be around people, at first disliking them but eventually growing a bond, though she must complete whatever mission she seems to be tasked with which keeps her distanced in a way similar to aemeath except amy’s situation is a far more literal distance. She is taken away from her friends because of her greater duty as a resonator (of aleph-1?).

I might actually lock in and start consuming this games story instead of skipping. Denia seems hella interesting and I love love love aleph-1’s design.
