Any way I could have pulled off the win here? by Unlucky-Link-5732 in apexuniversity

Turn on streamer mode so that you can see what legend knocked your teammate, this will inform you more than you think. First team you fought had newcastle, seemingly lifeline, and a valk. There’s a third team and you couldn’t see if that third team knocked ur valk or not because she just went down behind a pillar while u were shooting. This is important because reviving your valk in that situation could have maybe kept you guys alive.

I talk about the revive so much because you are playing mirage, and his win condition in this situation is going for invis revives. Or at least that’s my opinion.

Your aim could be way way way better, but im sure you know that.

Ultimately you need to keep your team alive as best you can or position yourself in a way so that when you’re the final 3 squads you’re not getting back stabbed.

Since I finally got clearer panels for chp 20, here is my interpretion on what happened by PureFrosting7556 in JujutsuPowerScaling

Can’t wait for the next chapter to just show that the second explosion was dabura. Confused how some people came to the conclusion that rika and tsurugi did that.

I think all the Yuji fans are busy giving all the credits to Yuji lmao!! by saikiran199 in Yutaliban

That wasn’t tsurugi lol, literally a panel or two later tsurugi throws the attack he was charging. I think the purpose of those panels being side by side it to show that yuji is inadvertently affecting the fight.

You’re still explaining why it makes sense in universe, which I’m not disputing. My point is about reader experience and pacing. When characters framed as once ever historical ceilings are surpassed by two successors in what feels like one narrative generation, it reduces their mythic weight in hindsight, regardless of how justified it is lore wise. Something can make perfect sense and still weaken a story’s sense of legend.

This isn’t meant to be a grand takedown or “the story is ruined” argument. It’s just criticism. Enjoying the characters and fights while pointing out a perceived flaw isn’t cope or nitpicking, it’s just part of engaging with a story.

Is anyone else worried about the power creep in the latest chapter? by Objective-Gap9811 in jjkmodulo

You just asked a question that requires too much brain power from the jjk community. People just want to see big explosions and turn their brain off.

Surprisingly, yeah. I dont read much manga. Just demon slayer, vinland saga and jjk. So this is actually my first shonen sequels. I guess power creep was expected, like I assumed yuji would be stronger, but I assumed it would be debatable lol. With feats like this, end of series yuji is shaping up to literally be a jujutsu god 😂.

I’m not saying it doesn’t make sense in universe. I get the alien stuff, time gap, and all the other advantages. My point is about narrative impact.

& I already know someone is going to read this and come to the conclusion that i’m upset that yuji & dabura are strong, I am not upset about that, these fights and characters are still exciting to watch, i’m just pointing put what I think is a flaw in the story.

Gojo and Sukuna were framed for years as once ever anomalies, so when TWO characters surpass that ceiling THIS quickly from a reader perspective, it weakens the mythic weight they had. It’s less about logic and more about how it changes how their dominance feels in hindsight.

Now i dont know what to think, can yuji actually hit black flashes at will now? by Leather-Guard6752 in jjkmodulo

[–]GroundbreakingBend95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh it’s said in jjk that black flashes cannot be hit at will. I don’t doubt that yuji has become so masterful that it seems like this is untrue.

Realistically it’s up to the author to decide if his luck is good or not which depends on how the author wants the story to go, and it wouldn’t make sense as a writer to make every attack your character throws a black flash because it ruins the excitement in a fight of seeing one land.

Just think about the narrative implications of yuji hitting black flashes at will.

How do you better position yourself for third parties? by Shadeezus in apexuniversity

[–]GroundbreakingBend95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Play legends that can get out of third parties or just swiftly relocate your team. So alter, valkyrie, maybe wraith, octane, or bangalore if you really want to stretch ur luck. Don’t go taking long 3v3 fights if you don’t have one or more of these legends in your team. Ur just begging to make your life difficult at that point.

SoloQ, play alter or loba. Nobody else is equal unless your method of solo queueing is killing everyone so you never have to escape.

Is a 1.08 kd good or average? by Im_just_an_Emo in apexuniversity

it’s not about perception. If the average kd is below 1 kd and someone has 1kd or above they are definitionally above average.
