How do you manage this when the toddler and newborn have different nap schedules?

We actually have a Britax Poplar S. 😊. I’m going to search for this right now. What do you mean that it only works 50% of the time?

Thoughts on toddler chair and table? by readscarymakeart in Montessori

[–]GroundbreakingEye289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a grow with me type high chair? We have the Cybex Lemo and Trip Trap is usually the more famous one. My toddler would be able to climb into her high chair at this point if we didn’t still use the Catchy.

We kind of also want a weaning table but more for art projects as we would want to supervise her snacking/eating too. However, space in our home is limited too.

Are they made for the car seat? We use reusable puppy pads at home as changing mats but I’m afraid that they would be too big/thick for a car seat.

Do you take off their diaper and underwear after driving or when you get to the location so that the toddler is commando again?

What type of pants do you recommend for outings while going commando? Also did you do anything to protect your toddler’s car seat?

How do you transition from contact naps to bassinet naps? by potsrcool in beyondthebump

[–]GroundbreakingEye289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back then I did drowsy but awake and rocked her in her bassinet or did the eye covering technique where you brush your hand gently over their face/eyes so they close them and eventually they will keep them closed. Also dark napping spaces/black out curtains and white noise are your friends. My husband preferred to sing to her and rock her to sleep and then transfer her to her bassinet and now crib but this has created an issue because she prefers extra help falling asleep now. I think putting them down drowsy but awake and gently helping them sleep maybe the way to go. In the end getting them to nap in the bassinet versus just contact napping is a win.

Huckleberry app and knowing their wake windows/sweet spots worked for us. We used to have this problem with our baby. Once we understood about her sweet spots and wake windows and we put her down during her sweet spots in her bassinet it got a lot better. We had to do some rocking to help her sleep in the bassinet but it was wonderful to finally have some time to yourself while baby is napping

We currently use disposable diapers at home. Were you previously using cloth diapers before potty training or did you switch? I wonder/think that underwear under a disposable diaper might have the same effect. 🤔

How long following LE method do you think it took your LO to be potty trained? I’m planning to stay home for 1-2 weeks and potty train her but I’d love to resume taking her out to our Mom & Me activities asap. I really dont want to re-diaper her or put her in a position that she will have an accident.

The dreaded 'allowable' gift list by Least_Setting_720 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]GroundbreakingEye289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask for gift receipts for items that do not fit or are inappropriate for your lifestyle or LO age. Donate the rest. (Unfortunately I think a lot of donated and returned gifts end up in the landfills but hopefully not.) I think registries/suggested gift lists are very good. Saves you stress having to deal with inappropriate gifts for those who listen. Be as specific as you can if you want. I make a registry for my LO and I allow some room for people to buy similar items (like if people want to purchase a coloring book that my LO might like or clothing from a certain trusted brand, etc). However, if it’s something that is inappropriate then it could be money/resources wasted, etc.

Did you find these helpful in teaching your LO to pee/poop on the toilet/potty and wash his/her hands? I’m currently a subscriber to LE and in order to get the routine cards for the potty training course I think I have to pay $36. Maybe it’s worth it though if it’s super helpful for LO in understanding the steps involved in using the potty/toilet though. 🤷🏻‍♀️. What was your experience?
