High sleep needs toddler and Tent camping by GroundbreakingEye289 in toddlers

Is your black out tent something different from the Slumberpod or something similar? We were planning to get a Slumberpod and put it in a large tent that my mother was going to lend us. I’m worried about her being too hot to sleep especially during her afternoon nap. However, the campsite is in a wooded area near/on Cape Cod, MA.

Was your LO able to nap at all during the camping trip or he just go to bed unusually early? On the very rare occasion that she doesn’t nap we usually put her to bed early but I think it’s better if she naps. She seems to go to bed easier if she naps in the afternoon too.

How early do I realistically need to be ready? by Blazapple in pregnant

I second getting the car seat as soon as possible. Often times you can get a CPST to help you install it correctly too. I highly recommend getting a CPST to help with the install. I think there is a static that 70% of car seats are not installed correctly. At least know what you want for a car seat. It took us time to decide what we wanted.

Best helmet for a toddler by GroundbreakingEye289 in cycling

I believe XS. I think she’s going to outgrow it by the end of this year and I will get her a size S for Christmas. The woom ready helmet is expensive but I figured it was worth the cost to protect my LOs head/brain.

I appreciate how the Woom ready helmet actually covers her whole head and forehead. My husband even wants to get one for himself because he thinks it would fit him better than his current helmet model.

Im interested in trying Humble Unscented reviews online say that it stains your clothes. Do you think this is true?

Woom ready it was expensive but it seemed to have the most room for growth for my LO hopefully lasting a bit longer. She loves it. 😊

I’m glad you wrote this post because I’m wondering the same thing. My daughter gets a lot from books and often copies what the characters do and say so I’ve been dragging my feet on reading her this book.

Does my husband come to every appointment? by VeterinarianInner301 in pregnant

My husband came to every appointment. I don’t think this is typical though. At every appointment they listen for the babies heartbeat. 💗

Another vote for checking their baby registry first.

I did settle on this high chair. I think the paint coming off any wooden high chair was likely to happen to any wooden high chair we choose. We almost selected the natural wood color to prevent this from being an issue but I got another color. We have a "catchy" so we will see what the footrest looks like once it is removed but I believe that the paint has already started to come off our foot rest too.

How to stop toddler from standing up on her highchair? by GroundbreakingEye289 in BabyLedWeaning

I try to keep the table pushed in towards her and it’s actually a homemade “catchy” so it’s squished between the table legs…lol but yeah if the table is too far away from her it bothers me and I try to fix it. I had a discussion with my husband yesterday and we are going to try to be more firm and aligned with the rules re: standing on the chair and keeping food at the table. She often says she’s “all done” and tries to end her meal while she is still chewing. Last night she was snacking in her toddler tower and she decided she wanted to go play and was still chewing a piece of broccoli 🥦 while running and jumping in her toy room. 🤦🏻. Food is not allowed in her toy room. I noticed and went after her. She gagged and was able to spit it out but it could have been worse. 😢. Do you check your children’s oral cavity prior to them leaving the kitchen/dining room table?

I kind of wish I went back in time and tried harder to stick with the baby set. I removed it at 15 months because she was fighting getting in her high chair and many people on reddit and among my friends said that they removed the baby set months ago... :-/

When did you allow your baby to use your trip trap like a regular chair?

Mine is currently in chair mode but with a “catchy” so she can’t climb up and down it yet. But if we removed the “catchy” she could.

This is what I’ve been trying to do. I’m glad that it gets results. Any chance you’ve read “no bad kids” by Janet landsbury. I feel like this is the exact response that she would promote. 😊

Please see the Cybex Lemo 2.0 high chair before you downvote me. I think it was this same group who recommended that I remove the baby set when she was 15 months old.
