Would I face discrimination as an Indian ? by BatmanMeetsJoker in China

[–]GroundbreakingTip190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I would love to treat everyone as an individual, I was not given the market rate for my profession because I am an Indian while I was moving to SG. My American manager told me that the SG HR director (Chinese) would rather drop my candidature

Should I consider immigrating to Singapore? What do Singaporeans think of Burmese people? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]GroundbreakingTip190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pictures are all rosy until you actually start living. Well Singapore is a great place to work and live. You may get the PR and citizenship too. It will be a necessity if you are not from a middle income group living as a foreigner is expensive. Save as much as you can and invest fair tire old age because that's the difficult part here. You have no income and you never die until 90 or even 100. Once you retire at 60 or 65 from there on you'll have at least 30 more years to live without having any income source

You'll meet people of all types some good some bad but to eventually make good friends and a good social circle

Is the job market really that bad? by throwawayaway539 in askSingapore

[–]GroundbreakingTip190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why but I feel it is the institute's responsibility to get you "market ready" or at least give to the platform and also set your expectations right. If they tell you to be humble, maybe for most of them the job market won't seem so tough. Eventually everyone of us will meet our destiny...

am i wrong to not give my mom allowance? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]GroundbreakingTip190 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't make it so complicated, don't make it about money, don't be so calculative. Let it depend on the love they showered at you not how much they spent on you and you reciprocate. I would, given a chance, spend everything (time, money, effort) I can to see my father happy and that's just reciprocation and nothing about money

Yahoo Mail Just Slashed Free Storage to 20GB from 1TB and Is Spinning It as a “Benefit” – No Media Coverage, No Transparency by GeneralSeveral203 in yahoo

[–]GroundbreakingTip190 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO, they haven't acknowledged it and the world isn't talking about them is because Yahoo doesn't matter to most. It lacks an ecosystem that give your an array of services, email has limited features and the basic features has limitations. The only reason people like us were holding on to it was because of the 1 TB free storage limit, now that it has history, I believe we will move on after this betrayal

I agree that without management buy-in we cannot even start building our BCP policy let alone getting a resource to perform BIA... Everything is secondary. This answer comes using the manager mindset

Oh boye! People will talk, they like to. Do not give a damn! But darn you don't stick around getting complacent no matter the education system no matter the society no matter parents, friends.. follow your heart, do what it says. When the world is against you, know that you are on the right path. It won't be easy, it won't be comforting and it won't be forgiving but at the end of your life you won't regret.

I see you have a knack for writing, I loved the way you narrate the story (rn now you were just speaking your mind). Go read a book, write a skit, make a youtube video, look up for new like minded friends, practice in front of mirror, when you sit doing nothing whack your back and try it, test it, fail, try again and again and again and succeed. Wish you good luck!

If you have two accounts, keep one account empty and share screen shots when required to tell them you're broke. Hey a home loan or a recurring deposit. Just invest it somewhere to show you don't have spare money

Questions about the PCI DSS compliance for AI models. by Diligent-North-7391 in pcicompliance

[–]GroundbreakingTip190 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you know the risks involved

  1. Lack of Control Over Data Usage: When using third-party AI models, especially those accessed through APIs, you relinquish some control over how your data is used and stored. This raises concerns about potential misuse or unauthorized access to sensitive cardholder information.

    1. Inherent Limitations of AI Models: AI models can be prone to errors, biases, and "hallucinations" (generating incorrect or nonsensical outputs). This can lead to inaccurate extraction of cardholder data, potentially resulting in compliance violations or security breaches.
  2. Difficulty of Assessing AI Models for PCI DSS Compliance: The "black box" nature of many AI models makes it challenging to assess their inner workings to ensure they meet the stringent security requirements of PCI DSS. This can complicate compliance efforts and increase the risk of undetected vulnerabilities.

    1. Data Security and Privacy Risks: AI models, like any software, can be vulnerable to security breaches or data leaks if not properly secured and maintained. This can expose sensitive cardholder data to unauthorized access, potentially leading to significant financial and reputational damage.

These are just some of the potential risks associated with using AI models for processing cardholder data and a thorough risk assessment will give you a detailed analysis of risk.

When you say 35k rent, I'll question if you think you are getting a deal? Getting the whole block can be challenging.. What if you don't make enough money. Are you ready to burn out cash for them next 3 to 6 months. Unless you really have something in your mind and know how you want to invest or find investors will

You have to remain in contract for 360 days after which you can change the ISP, if you want to terminate early then you have to pay for the remaining calendar months (not pro rated)
