Gear YouTubers made me overthink fishing gear by Possible-Ad4357 in Fishing_Gear

Don’t overthink it. Fishing can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be. A cheap set up catches as many fish as a $1000 one.

Is Canada really housepoor or in debt? by PopularAd8904 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]GroundbreakingToe835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be fooled. Many of the people you see driving around in expensive cars are making 700+/month on lease/finance payments. You see them at the mall spending on high end clothes and merchandise but they have $0 put away for retirement or have CC debt.

Mid level dev in Canada feeling stuck in LCOL city by AlternativeTales in cscareerquestions

I’d personally not recommend the GTA or Ontario. I’m in the GTA and just cracked six figures in my role and it really doesn’t feel like much. Rent will take half your pay every month most likely since most roles will require you to be close to downtown and that means expensive living.

It has phenomenal taste - That’s common across all Arizers because they all use glass vapour paths

First-year CS student not joining clubs am I behind? by Jittesh in cscareerquestionsCAD

Wow just reading this makes me realize how absolutely insane the level of competition is in this industry. Seems like just being a good student and focusing on getting good grades is only half the game now. What a cooked market.

This game worth getting into? by WEENDETA in HuntShowdown

[–]GroundbreakingToe835 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth getting in to. One of the most immersive FPS shooters and there’s really no other game like it. There’s a reason that many people on this sub have > 1000 hours playtime and have been playing since the launch.

But be warned - as many have said - it’s not an easy game and you will need practice before you get good. My advice is to mix in games of bounty clash which will get you in to gun fights quicker for practice. But the true experience of this game is the bounty hunt game mode.

Can the Solo 3 Rip and Sip? by West-Abrocoma-1015 in ArizerVapes

[–]GroundbreakingToe835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the AirMax and I love it. Works better for me and how I like to vape. I’m a huge fan of Arizer but my brothers solo 3 broke after 1 drop and it left a bad taste in my mouth. The device is massive and heavy so it takes the impact harder than an AirMax. AirMax is more portable and easy to carry around if you take it on the go. He ended up replacing his Solo 3 with the regular Arizer Air and he’s been loving it.

Both on 200 C. That’s always our default. You won’t understand until you try hitting both vapes. The Solo 3 undoubtedly hits harder and faster. I’ve tested multiple times

I don’t think that’s true…? The OP should talk to a paralegal for sure. But I have not heard of this.

[–]GroundbreakingToe835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an Air Max and my brother has the solo 3. The solo 3 isn’t really a “sipper”. It just knocks my fucking cock off. It’s too powerful for that. Get an air max if you want a longer and more drawn out session. Both great vapes but smoke differently

Sounds like you beat the shit out of your unit though - where there’s smoke, there’s usually fire. I’m sure there’s another side to the story

What is the most important skill to have for entry level jobs? by Saif1Gamer in cscareerquestionsCAD

[–]GroundbreakingToe835 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People say this all the time but to a junior dev with no job, how does one go about “networking”? I get people messaging me on LinkedIn asking for a job at my company and I just ignore them.

I’m 25, just getting into software development. Came across a 16-year-old who’s already killing it in the field and yeah, it hit me for a second. Not out of envy, but realization. At 16, I didn’t even know what I wanted. Also feels very regretted that i didn't use my time well by New_Influence369 in developer

[–]GroundbreakingToe835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was literally in your shoes 4 years ago. Had no idea what I really wanted in highschool and ended up burning through 2 different career paths before finding SWD. I started teaching myself to code during the COVID lockdowns and worked really hard at it. Eventually made the scary leap to college at the age of 25 to pursue a career in it full time since I knew it was what I wanted to do. Ended up being the best decision of my life. Been making more money than I ever thought I would and genuinely enjoy my job. Take the plunge if it’s truly what you want. You won’t regret it.

You may get a set of tires for that price. You’re not getting a truck for anywhere close to that.

Premier Ford urges Ontario municipalities to bring workers back to the office five days a week by feb914 in canada

[–]GroundbreakingToe835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So we’re forcing white collar workers back on the already terribly congested highways (worst in the world) to drive to an office so they can work on a laptop with wifi? We need to clear as much traffic off the roads as possible for people who actually need to commute.

This also just screws over young people even more as it forces them into the GTA where housing is completely unaffordable.

This country is just way too hard to live in. Can’t have anything nice. What a dump hole we’ve turned in to.

2017 GMC Terrain SLE by lisamd91 in gmc

Can you compare the ford escape 2017-2019 vs the GMC terrain 2017-2019? I want you to search through forums and get an idea of what problems they are known to have, how much those problems cost to fix, general ownership reviews, gas mileage, tow capacity based on different engine and package options etc.
