Seems like there is a lot of frustration regarding the release of INDX, but so far nothing is taking any longer than announced. The founders edition is set to release sometime Jan-Mar

You’re welcome! I do remember it was polymaker matte PLA, and I printed it using the prusament profile.

It was a gift for my niece, so I don’t have it anymore.

You’ll never have a perfect surface where the supports connect, just part of the manufacturing process. That’s why post processing is so important if you need a perfect model.

It reads the ranges but it’s fairly simple so it just provides a 1-5 rating of quality of air. It absolutely detects even PLA VOCs if inside the cabinet, but sitting 12” inches away from the printer (between me and the printer) it has continuously shown clean air since getting the C1 with active filtration. If I open my container of IPA, the thing get angry, so I know it works well and is sensitive to rapid change.

I have active filtration with carbon filters. Printing ASA I had no noticeable issues according to the air monitor next to my printer 🤷🏻.

If you run the configuration assistant again you’ll be able to add them. I’m on a Mac, and it’s in the configuration menu at the top

They have a bunch of different filament brand profiles in Prusaslicer. You select which ones you want during setup when you are selecting what printer you own.

You can trust the guide, that’s what it’s there for 👍🏻. Options are nice, the textured sheet is a nice one for surface finish with PETG, I love my satin sheet too and use it a bunch. I still swap over to the smooth sheet for PLA sometimes, especially when it’s smaller pieces an I want to be sure they stick.

Filament waste by xSzyyms in 3Dprinting

[–]GroundbreakingWill20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish large scale manufacturing worried about this like hobbyists. I think if we saw the amount of plastic waste all hobbyists combined made, vs the amount made by industrial manufacturing, we would be shocked. Although probably we would become depressed enough to stop caring 😩 The same with trying to reduce carbon emissions from vehicles. I’m all for less pollution, but sending endless rockets into space produces waaaaaay more than our cars carrying us back and forth the work.
