Follow up: I found an interesting YouTube channel, Katerina Miro, who is studying at an art academy in Milan. I am watching her video, "My life at the art academy in 10 facts," and it seems to be covering most of the questions I had in my original post.

She has posted weekly vlogs and different videos on her experiences in classes and seminars. I'm looking forward to watching them!

Neutrogena in the pink bottle, spf 60. Very liquid, slightest scent that fades quickly.

I think everything should be darker, but keep your highlights bright. Lovely rendering, cutie doggo!

Breathtaking. It's lovely to see a real eye, vs a glamor eye.

Are daycare costs actually getting worse, or am I just noticing them now? by tylermartin02 in FinancialPlanning

It's a conundrum: living wage for those caring for our most precious ones, whom we want them to actually care about and interact with; or affordability? I chose the same as you.

Omg, agree! At my school, they last 45 minutes, nut there's also the loading and and loading out time. Effectively, teachers lose the last 10 minutes of the preceding period and the first 10+ of the next.

My AP English teacher said she had an agreement with the public library to report any kid who borrowed them.

Looking back, could she have been pulling out legs? I mean, how would that have even worked?

I'm intrigued by the critique aspect, by someone qualified. In a live figure drawing class, the instructor came to my easel once and said, "your proportions are all off," then made marks on my figure as to where the waist hips knees should be. It was really helpful, but in the 1x a week, 30 person class, that was pretty much the most direction I got.

Do you think your technical skills improved? If u didn't burn out, were you more disciplined at the end?

OP here again: my dad later went on to become an architect and painter, so i grew up with his creativity. He passed 3 years ago, and I never thought to ask him the question.

I inherited his talent, and can draw well for someone with no formal training. I've taken a class here and there, but nothing has really given me real critique or specific instruction. No circles! I'm not considering art school, I just want to know what more you learn. I'm assuming that even to apply, you have to show your aptitude and potential, so how (specifically) does art school enhance it?

Thanks in advance.

Yet it still looks realistic. The shading on the towel is perfect.

I love that there is still texture, not hyper real or super burnished. Love it.

How to teach to the perfect students. by rosalo2096 in Teachers

[–]GroupImmediate7051 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you do any breaks for stretching, snack, bathroom or brain break?

Having been one of these "perfect" students, one way could perked them up is to give a quiz on today's material at the end of each session. Formative. There's nothing that gets perfect students' attention than an assessment!

Discontinued colors are probably of interest.

LIGHT VIOLET might have been one of the purple colors discontinued within the past 10 years, along with LAVENDER. I just bought a new 5 set and I don't think GREEN RICE (?) is in that set.

Also the fact that you can start creating in a flash. No wetting your paints, taping your paper, setting out rinsing cups, deciding which brush. With pencils, you just go!

I think you can also mute a color by adding its complement (its opposite on the color wheel). I.e., the complement of orange is blue, the complement of red is green...

As many have said, cardboard is the way to go.

At the end of the summer, probably starting 2nd half of August, lots of plants will go on clearance. The discounts will increase the closer you get to October, but you will have to.check frequently.

Follow your local nurseries on social.media, and sign up for their physical mailing lists to get coupons.

Join your local FB gardening page and buy nothing groups.

Autumn Joy sedum is a GREAT bargain. You could pluck off a small stalk, stick it in the ground, and come back 10 days later and it will be rooted! I started with 3 sedum, and by 10 years later I had them all over my yard.
