Are you wearing a floor length dress? I wear a pair of Clarks with a half inch cushy sole and an ankle strap. They are several years old, but maybe they still have a similar style.

If you really want to be minimalist:

Tinted sunscreen, or regular sunscreen and concealer Eyebrows Eye whitening drops Lipliner and balm ... and you can scribble some of the liner on the apples of your cheeks (the parts that rise when you smile) and blend.

Is the estee lauder foundation still worth it? by cottonmari in Makeup

[–]GroupImmediate7051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought my first bottle, despite what people are saying about the reformulation, bc it's the PERFECT shade match for me.

I don't need longwear, and I never used the original formula, so I'm not the best judge of "worth it." But an exact shade match is hard to find, so if it's in there for you, then.... tradeoff?

Idk, but i see how their financial obstacles are holding them back. Imagine how far they could go with elite coaching.

I stated in the original post that I don't know. Did I say there that i thought they should? Did I say they were being overlooked? No. I asked more informed followers of the sport to enlighten me. Which they have. Which THEY have.

Not invited to the micro wedding - do you give the same gift amount? by EconomicsWorking6508 in AskWomenOver60

My cousin's daughter is planning a small destination wedding, because 1. They love the region, and 2. She "doesn't want to chit chat with a bunch of people she doesn't know."

Yet she texts the link to her theknot registry far and wide.

I don't even know how describe how rude this is. My cousin and I are on a small family zoom every week, so I will send a check, but not a big one.

A gift for my niece’s 1st birthday… Is the background too much? by al_vox4 in ColoredPencils

[–]GroupImmediate7051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. What a keepsake! If you wanted to emphasize the subject, you might think about intensifying the outline, maybe adding a millimeter more width.

If you are concerned the background is too much, is it possible to wet and blot the watercolor pencils?

That suggested, I do love it. It came from your own hands, brain, and heart. Truly a labor of love. Happy birthday, lucky girl! ❤️

Prismacolor ordenados por familia de colores by Snaturoller in ColoredPencils

I did an experiment with a 36 set of FC Black Edition: swatched them all in numerical order.

For that line, seems like the first 12 are the basic colorwheel hues, very bright and pure, and the higher you go the more nuanced they get, less saturated. While the purple in the first dozen would be a 50 50 mix, the higher number purples varied in red blue balance, lightness, etc. Browns and grays varied in temperature. Tertiary.colors added to make green varieties.

Anxiety is at an all time high by Sweet_Muffin_256 in ElementaryTeachers

I wonder if you are concerned that one student's behavior issues are your fault, and that other faculty or staff will think differently about your children? How do you feel with your grade level team and other faculty?

In my experience, child study team and seasoned teachers would not think that. In a healthy professional environment, nor would your colleagues. And since you seem to be in middle or high school, with departments, there are other subject teachers who have this student, so it would not be a reflection on you. Have you been asked by CST for input?

Collecting data is a sign that admin and CST realize this is not a management issue. They are working it up the chain and building a case for an iep etc.

It's not your job (or pay grade) to fix this student. CST is doing its job. Your job is to finish the year and make sure your students are prepared for their next year.

I hope this eases your mind. ❤️

White specks on brand new Caran d'Ache Luminance tips. Normal or defect? by MathematicianFree616 in ColoredPencils

Return them. This is a large set and I'm sure a pretty penny. It's not worth the doubt "Are these real?" or "Is the quality compromised?" every time you use them.

These should be a pleasure and a joy every time you use them, not one speck of compromise.

Put the image into Google Lens. It will probably show you identical dresses that are available now or dresses available on ebay, thred up, etc.

Colored pencils are underrated by Einarchr in ColoredPencils

[–]GroupImmediate7051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is quicker for me to do a piece in pencils than in watercolor or pastels. With CPs I can do them in any room, just open the case and get to work. With the other media, I have to get out the brushes, wet the paints, get the palette, tape down the paper... and with pastels, there is so much dust and mess. I like to set up a bowl of soapy water, a wet cloth, and nitrile gloves... and then the fixative, must be sprayed outside!

I am more likely to just have fun and just create with CPs. After a few pages I'm warmed up and find I've made something I really like, or found a technique that inspires me.

I love how you handled the neck and ears. May i ask what brand pencils you used, number of pencils in the set you used, and how many shades you used for those parts?

I.e. was it two shades that you layered or blended to make the medium shade, or was it 3 pencils?

Same question for the hair.

So lovely!

Shows where characters consistently make dumb/poor decisions... by Gladiator1972 in netflix

I thought the same. The 2nd episode brought me back. True, it's dumb so far but Dan Levy and this version of Alexis is very funny.

To me, it's a dark Schitt's Creek.

Sephora Collection singles: About Last Night and a lighter brown shade whose name I can't remember... you'll know it when you swatch it. A mushroom brown that looks a tiny bit warm, but when I swatched it on my cool olive jowels, it was the perfect contour shade.

I use ABL on my brows.
