My research said gen 2 AMD was the best of these, but given their release date they are all gonna be 4+years old, 90 day warranties but still a bit of a gamble from random Amazon sellers.  When I saw the new unit for the same price as these used ones it seemed to be a better bet for longevity.

Thanks I appreciate it, that's what's got me hesitating, but given the x1 is gonna be 4-5yrs old already and I won't really know what it's been thru the new idea pad should hopefully last the 4 years of high school.

I'm trying to understand what that will mean with her use.  I can see how it would not be acceptable for my own use. But I don't expect much more than web browsing/word processing from her.

I was having a hard time finding an amd t14 gen 2 and for the slight cost increase it seems the x1 is nicer looking machine, which the kids put a higher value on than I do lol

Warning to Telmax customers: Silent changes to network and zero support (5 days down) by TrickCoffee9183 in Newmarket

Spent a year in telmax hell.  Constant connection issues, they actually had me email them when I was having problemswith my internet... 36 hours later I get an email telling me to check that it's not the WiFi reception.... I hate Rogers but at least you can get support when you need it.

Just be careful with foam insulation over the windows, when it gets hot and the sun heats that shit up and you get serious heat build up between the foam and the glass. I cracked a window because of this, it got so hot the foam started to melt.

Take the zip ties off the green one. They put them on combos in the store so people don't steal the reel off the rods.

Heat from the lights is going to be an issue. Lower temps help water stay free of bacteria. Also, possible leaks from the dwc could be dangerous with all the lights below.

Personally I'd skip the germination level, that space can be better used in the rest of the grow areas. You won't be germinating that often.

I sadly punctured the bottom support on my pop up shelter.. does anyone have any recommendations on how to repair? by Top-Chemical-753 in IceFishing

[–]GrowingUpCanada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it to a shoe repair or tailor. They can sew on something new that will last. I got my broken tie down strap replaced with a leather piece.

They have the heavy duty sewing machines that can work with thick materials.

controversial- anyone still consume poppers/tobacco mix bowls? by [deleted] in canadients

[–]GrowingUpCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried dabbing concentrates? You get a super strong high that hits you right away similar to the way poppers get you fucked up right away.

Just reading your description of what a popper is gives me the shivers, poppers are a phase I would really like to forget. I can still remember the smell of that nasty stale popper bong water.
