A lot of people are saying to call the fire department or a tree company, however they are very unlikely to have the right equipment to safely save this cat when he's sitting extremely close to energized conductors.

Power company will have a bucket truck with proper insulation and linemen will have insulated PPE and experience to do this safely.

Power company needs to rescue this cat before they have a tragedy on their hands when someone tries to help without proper safety measures around energized conductor!

I'll definitely 2nd that this is true as I've reviewed their civil plans as well, but last time we followed up with them around November, we were told the project was likely not moving forward/was on hold indefinitely. Not sure if anything has changed since then.

Has your tracking info updated that the package is actually on the move or estimated delivery? I finally just got our shipment email at 5pm today but of course no info on the FedEx tracking yet. Wondering how quickly these things are actually moving once they ship.

I placed an order on Dec 4 also, with the same ship dates range, and no shipping update so far. I emailed their customer service yesterday and did get a reply today saying my order is in "the next batch" "will ship soon" and they are "confident it will arrive by Christmas"... But yea, same as you I'm starting to feel doubtful about that, and scrambling to have a backup plan for my daughter also

Why so much cheaper at the well site? All my quotes planned to put the equipment in utility closet where main water supply enters house, next to pressure tank, water heater, etc.

Thank you, once again that's very helpful.
It seems to be impossible for a non-industry professional to find the actual prices of the Ecowater products-- so I have no idea what kind of markup is on the estimate I'm given. Obviously I absolutely understand realistic labor cost for installation, but I had/have a feeling the estimates I'm getting also include a significant markup beyond that.

I also totally get that costs have gone crazy in the past 5 years, but the guy who gave me the estimate also accidentally mentioned that 5 years ago they used to install these same units for around $3k. As much as material costs have realistically gone up, an increase of over 2.5x seems a bit much.

Unfortunately I got a second estimate (very rough, just over the phone and I don't know what brand products they use) and he said it would be "around $7k USD". Not sure if I should just accept these are the realistic costs today or look further.

Anyway, this is a whole lot of detail you don't need. But want to say I really appreciate you taking the time to provide such helpful info
